Today, Black Men United, in collaboration with Alderman Jason Ervin (28th Ward), Senator Lakesia Collins (5th District), Cook County Commissioner Michael Scott Jr. (2nd District), State Representative Jawaharial “Omar” Williams (10th District), and City Treasurer Melissa Conyears-Ervin, is putting those words into action.

We are proud to host a FREE FOOD GIVEAWAY for the senior residents of Ike Sims Village Apartments as a small way to show our appreciation, love, and commitment to the elders who have poured so much into our communities. ❤️

Alderwoman Scott has a **true servant’s heart** and continues to show up, pour into, and stand with her community **all year long.** We are grateful to stand alongside a leader who understands that serving the community is not just about events—it’s about **consistency, compassion, and commitment.** ❤️
