Weather or Not . . . TAF Is Still Doing Our Thing!

The seasons are changing! Kids are heading back to school, students are off to college, football is back, and Halloween is just around the corner. 🍂🏈🎃

But while the calendar changes, TAF keeps on keeping on.

No matter the season, The Almanor Foundation is working year-round to bring organizations, resources and people together to tackle the challenges facing our communities throughout Plumas County.

Because a thriving community doesn’t happen by itself. It takes all of us.

What’s in a Name? A Lot.

🏷️ Does "The Almanor Foundation" still reflect who we are today? We think it might be time for a new name — and we need your help.

When The Almanor Foundation was founded in October 2020, none of us could have imagined what was ahead. Before we had time to blink, the Dixie Fire changed our community, and our start-up foundation was immediately called into action.

At the time, we weren’t thinking about names. We were thinking about helping people, raising funds, supporting recovery and figuring out how we could make a difference.

Five years later, we’ve grown, and so has our vision.

Today, TAF has evolved from crisis response to building long-term resilience across all of Plumas County:

🏡 Attainable workforce housing
🎓 Career & youth education
🤝 Strengthening local nonprofits & community resources

Because we are your community foundation, we want our community to help guide this next chapter.

2026 Wildfire Fund Grants → Opening Sept 1

TAF is funding projects that strengthen housing, health, economic recovery, and long‑term resilience in Plumas County.
