Welcome Kelly Konzelman to The Almanor Foundation Board of Directors!

With more than 45 years of leadership in construction, finance, real estate development, and wildfire recovery, Kelly has helped build stronger communities across Plumas County. As a co-founder of Welcome Home Greenville and a founding member of the Plumas Housing Council, his expertise has already made a lasting impact on local workforce housing efforts.

But Kelly is not all work and no play. An accomplished musician who sings and plays guitar Kelly adds his own bluesy style to favorite hits from the 1960s through the 1990s. Many throughout the Lake Almanor Basin have enjoyed hearing him perform at local venues.

We're excited to have Kelly's vision, leadership, and commitment as a director as the Foundation continues our mission to help shape a stronger future for our communities. Welcome aboard, Kelly!

GOOD NEWS WITH A THANK YOU!

We are happy to announce that Plumas-Sierra Telecommunications (PST) made a generous contribution to the Plumas-Sierra Junior Livestock Sale Committee for this year's event! 🌾🐖🐂

The contribution was made possible through their donor-advised fund with The Almanor Foundation. PST dedicates a portion of their profits every year to support vital local organizations across our community.

Partnerships like this are what keep our local traditions alive and directly support the hard-working youth participating in this year's show and sale.

Join us in giving a round of applause to Plumas-Sierra Telecommunications for investing in our community's future! 👏👏

🎄 Christmas in July? You Bet!

Retailers everywhere are celebrating Christmas in July, and the Foundation is getting into the spirit as well.

As you start thinking about gifts (yes, already!), we'd love for you to put The Almanor Foundation on your holiday list.

Here's why:
The community partnerships we build, the housing and education initiatives we champion, and the support funds we manage strengthen our region. It doesn't happen by magic, although we'd gladly accept a few elves. It happens because there is a strong organization behind the scenes making it all possible.

Your gift to our Operations Capacity keeps the Foundation strong. It supports the people, the technology, and the day-to-day work that allows every project to move forward and every dollar donated to have a lasting impact.

When you invest in TAF, you're investing in a stronger, more resilient Plumas County --today and for years to come.

This Christmas in July, consider giving a gift that keeps giving all year long.

Thank you for believing in our community.

Collaboration is Turning Vision into Reality ✨

In 2023, The Almanor Foundation brought community partners together to launch the Workforce Housing Initiative, creating a collaborative effort to address Greenville's critical housing shortage impacted by the Dixie Fire. That vision led to the formation of the Plumas Housing Council and Welcome Home Greenville.

We are excited to celebrate the second home built by RRA Builders and offered through Welcome Home Greenville.

Join Welcome Home Greenville for an Open House:
· 305 Bush Street, Greenville
· Saturday, July 18
· 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

This beautiful 3-bedroom, 2-bath, 1,260-square-foot home is listed at $299,000. Stop by, tour the home, meet the team, and enter to win a Grizzly Bite gift card.
For The Almanor Foundation, this home is more than a house. It is another example of what can happen when organizations and community leaders work together toward a common goal. The Almanor Foundation is proud to have helped bring that vision to life.

🌲 P‑CREW Summer Season Has Begun — Join Us in Supporting the Next Generation of Land Stewards

The P‑CREW summer season kicked off on June 15, sending youth from Berkeley, San Francisco, Lassen, and Butte Counties into the forests of Plumas, Lassen, and Shasta Counties. These young people are spending their summer restoring landscapes, improving watershed health, and reducing wildfire risk — work that strengthens the resilience of our region and builds future leaders in conservation.

As P‑CREW gears up for the months ahead, The Almanor Foundation is proud to serve as a fiscal agent for the P‑CREW Fund, making it easy for community members to donate directly to the program.

Your contributions help ensure crews have the essential equipment they rely on each season — reliable transportation, sturdy boots, camping gear, and the tools needed to reach remote project sites and complete critical forest restoration work. These resources empower youth to learn hands‑on skills, contribute meaningfully to their environment, and experience the transformative power of stewardship.

You can help. Join The Almanor Foundation in supporting the P‑CREW Fund and equipping the next generation of land stewards.

💚 Donate today and help keep P‑CREW moving forward. https://almanorfoundation.org/p-crew/
