The Chester Community Chorus is a 501c3 organization which is a unique musical community that is significant to the cultural identity of the Lake Almanor Baisn & surrounding areas. The Chorus is a FAMILY of MUSICIANS and has several ensembles that has been formed through the years:
A. This is open for everyone who are willing to be trained. This gorup meets once a week, with an half- hour to an ho
ur rehearsal. KINDRED SPIRITS is an "all female ensemble" between 6-9, whose membership is offered by the Director through invitation or selection. They meet once a week, with an hour rehearsal. CHORALE is an SATB group who passed the selection process and performs more difficult music and various genres. This group meets twice a week, and a total of 3 hours rehearsals. CHORUS is the "main ensemble" for the Chester Community Chorus Family. It is open to ALL individuals who wants to enjoy singing and cmaraderie. No auditions needed. Jus present yourself and you're ready to go! This group meets twice a week with a total of 3 hours rehearsals. HANDBELLS is a group of individuals who are trained to ring, learn various technqiues, attends advancement clinic, and devotes at least 3 hours of rehearsals everyweek. They meet twice a week. F. NEW QUARTET is a newly formed group that consists of ONLY 4 singers. They rehearse once a week, one hour. G. LOST CHORD is an "all male ensemble" which is the counterpart of KINDRED SPIRITS. Membership is through selection and invitation from the Director.They meet once a week with an hour reharsal. At the moment, this group is INACTIVE.
