Tomi Mart I went to the Tomi Mart Matsuri, it was definitely a blast and to connect with some people. I definitely plan on coming back next year to setup a booth, this is a great place to connect with the rest of the Asian Community. As long as my Board members are okay with the idea.

The High Desert - Japan Social Club 🇯🇵is back for its August meeting! If you want to discuss your favorite anime shows and movies, learn about the history of anime, and vote for an anime movie to watch with your club members at a future meeting; then this month's club meeting is for you!! And if time allows, we'll also work on another new origami project. Hope to see you there!!!

Honoring people with disabilities.

We have celebrated the 10 year anniversary of The Sagamihara Tragedy for Tsukui Yamayuri - en at the Central Oregon Collective on July 25th, 2026. We will honor the victims of the tragedy and pray that such an incident doesn't happen again.

The families of the victims will forever be in our hearts and our prayers go out to them. Unity4Inclusion will continue building relationships with the people in Sagamihara, Japan and other areas in Japan. I am also grateful for my Japanese Liaison to participate in this occasion and I am grateful for her cultural advice.

She will be traveling to Japan from September to February, I wish her well.

Club activities will continue in August, please stay tuned for an upcoming flier and the upcoming theme.

2026年7月25日、セントラル・オレゴン・コレクティブ（Central Oregon Collective）にて、津久井やまゆり園で起きた「相模原障害者施設殺傷事件」の10年事業（追悼行事）を執り行いました。犠牲となられた方々を悼むとともに、このような悲劇が二度と繰り返されないことを心よりお祈り申し上げます。

ご遺族の皆様のご無念と悲しみに寄り添い、これからも変わらぬ祈りを捧げ続けます。Unity4Inclusionは、これからも日本の相模原をはじめとする地域の方々との絆を深めてまいります。また、今回の機会に参加し、文化的なアドバイスをくださった当団体の日本人リエゾン（架け橋）の方に心より感謝いたします。

彼女は9月から2月まで日本へ滞在される予定です。道中の安全とご活躍をお祈りしております。

8月以降もクラブ活動は継続いたします。今後のテーマやチラシの配布につきましては、ぜひ楽しみにお待ちください。
