Reminder that we offer swim lessons right here at the Chebeague Recreation Center! 🏊‍♀️

Our weekly swim lessons are designed for children ages 6 months - 10 years and are taught by a certified Water Safety Instructor with lifeguard support. Whether your child is just getting comfortable in the water or ready to build confidence and skills, we have a class for them!

🎨 THIS THURSDAY ---

Reminder that the two-session Plein Air Painting class with Natalie Gardner begins this Thursday (June 18th) from 9:00-11:00am!

In Session One, we will discuss what to bring to the site with us, and what special challenges are posed by working outside and how to solve them. A demonstration of how to mix, apply, and clean up from oil paints will follow, with short practice for all. Next we will discuss critical issues of composition in starting an outdoor painting. We’ll look at examples of seascapes/landscapes to learn what to do and what NOT to do to make a successful painting of this type. Students will receive a materials/equipment list for the outdoor session.

In Session Two, students will come equipped to Bennett’s Cove and will choose a view and begin to paint. Natalie will help and offer critiques as requested.

🇺🇸 Lace up your sneakers and kick off your 4th of July celebrations with one of Chebeague's favorite traditions! 🏃‍♂️

Whether you’re racing for a personal best, jogging with friends, or just running for the post-race bragging rights, join us for the 46th Annual Fun Run & Road Race. The Fun Run (1.1 miles) begins at 9:00am and the Road Race (5K) begins at 10:00am, both races starting and finishing at the Rec Center parking lot.

Pricing:
• Fun Run (1.1 miles): $5 online | $10 race day
• Road Race (5K): $15 online | $25 race day
~Online registration closes at noon on July 3rd. Race day registration closes 30 minutes before the race.~
