Team members from our residential programs from CARE, SBC, and DHS got together to share staff retention ideas with the larger management team. Around 10 teams joined in, each bringing something different to the table. Staff members Tom Perdian and Bobbie Jo Fordanich ended up taking home the top prize earning a day off!

Our developmental services programs are busy, busy, busy! Wendy from our Jones CLA home spent the day crafting; Jeremy from our Palmer CLA home enjoyed special time with his favorite staff, DHS Executive Director Jon Wasicek; and Robin from our Palmer CLA home celebrated a resident's 30 years of service at Lifeswork—what an accomplishment! Home & Community program members shared in graduation celebrations with family and friends. Folks from our Riverside Horizons Therapeutic Activity Center build such wonderful friendships, and Miss Rosie from our TAC program had an opportunity to get her puzzle collection organized. We love seeing these everyday moments of friendship, achievement, and joy.

Congratulations to our Child Learning Center's Pre K Class of 2026! This year’s graduation theme, “Adventure is Out There!”, came to life on May 28, 2026, at the Monessen High School Auditorium. Twenty graduates celebrated this special milestone in front of approximately 150 family members and friends. The students proudly marched to Pomp and Circumstance and the audience enjoyed a fun musical performance. Each graduate received a preschool diploma, yearbook, and goody bag as they prepared to begin their next great adventure.
