Our Outpatient and SPHS Centers Of Excellence staff were out in the community sharing information about our programs and services. Attending "Harmony in the Streets", hosted by F.A.I.T.H. (Fighting Against Inequities Through Healing) along with the Washington Opioid Overdose Coalition's Overdose Awareness Day event, proved to be wonderful opportunities for us to connect with community members, share valuable resources, and highlight the ways we can help.

Friday was Connect's Annual Clay Shoot. It's a wonderful fundraiser that supports Connect's mission to end homelessness. This year was at a new venue, Nemacolin Rod & Range Club. The weather was perfect and the turnout even better! Shout out to all of the sponsors, participants, volunteers, and friends who made the event such a success!

Congratulations to Michael Gery, a Blended Case Manager in Butler County! He was awarded the BCM of the Year by the Butler Community Support Program and Carelon. What an honor— and a well-deserved one! He received multiple nominations from clients, coworkers, and partner agencies. Proud to have him on our BCM team!

Donora Senior Center members are giving back by volunteering behind the scenes for Bridges Hospice. From stuffing envelopes and preparing kitty litter bags for medication disposal to making memory bears, they are helping in ways that matter. Hospice volunteering can be both a rewarding and emotional experience, and Bridges Hospice welcomes anyone who shares a compassionate heart and a desire to help others.

Tomorrow, August 20, The Roaming Bean Coffee Truck with be at our main office at 300 Chamber Plaza in Charleroi! Stop by to purchase some gourmet coffee and delicious treats. They'll be at Chamber Plaza from 9 AM to Noon. Hope to see you there!

Last week was the SPHS Annual Golf Outing. We had a great turnout, and the weather held out, making it a perfect day on the green. The outing has been a staple fundraiser for SPHS, this year marking its 34th! Thanks to the sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and friends who make each outing better than the last! Save the date for next year's outing on August 18, 2027. Look forward to seeing you there!

The morning at the Monessen Child Learning Center started off with the toddlers having some fun with fingerpaints. Meanwhile, the preschool kids discovered that sometimes a box is as much fun as the toy!

Over the past few weeks, Supervisors from our Outpatient and COE programs have been busy in the community. Stops at the Hempfield National Night Out, Northmoreland National Night Out, and the Westmoreland Case Management and Supports Inc. “Pause and Play Wellness Experience.” These events focus on bringing together resources and community providers to help strengthen, support, and empower individuals and families — making these communities even stronger.
