SPHS provides child care, aging programs, mental health treatment, substance abuse treatment, homeless assistance, home health care, nutrition services, developmental services and family support services through our affiliate programs. Special shout out to Washington Lodge #164! The Washington Lodge No 164 Free and Accepted Masons presented a check for $1,000 to The CARE Center in Washington. This was part of the proceeds from the 23rd Annual Blue Ride held earlier this year. The ride was a joint effort between the Lodge and the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club Chapter 16. This is what community is all about!

Today our Psych/Social Program placed second in their category at the AMI Inc.'s 17th Annual Poetry and Fine Art Show! What an honor! This event is an effort to break the stigma associated with mental health and substance use disorders. It also shows our community that recovery is possible!

What's the thing that makes you think of fall? Why, pumpkins! For a little fall fun, residents from our Galleton Commons program painted pumpkins in the community center. They turned out great!

Folks from our CRR program got to enjoy the beautiful weather during the Mon Valley Fall Festival held in Donora. What a fun way to get into the spirit of fall fun!

Our Outpatient and SPHS Centers Of Excellence staff attended the CSAY Prevention Conference at the end of September. The Council on Substance Abuse and Youth event was held at Westmoreland County Community College and was an amazing opportunity to share information about our programs and services.
