‼️Something REALLY EXCITING is coming to Franklin County 4-H ‼️

🍀Franklin County 4-H is partnering with Horizon Farm Credit to bring Franklin County 4-H & FFA members an Agricultural Money Management Camp!

💵You're never too young to start managing your finances!!

Who can attend?
Franklin County 4-H and FFA members ages 12-18 years old

‼️Registration ‼️
- Space is limited to the first 30 participants registered
- 4-H parents of members with a Horse, Livestock or Dairy project were emailed registration instructions
- 4-H members with non-animal projects & FFA members interested in registering, call the Extension Office at (717)-263-9226

🌟4-H Member Spotlight! 🌟

It's time for another member spotlight! This spotlight is for Jackson Thompson, nominated by the Clover Kids 4-H Club!

About Jackson! 🎨🎣🌽
Jackson is 9 years old and has been a Clover Kid member for 3 years. His favorite activities over the summer are swimming, gardening, and playing with friends. This summer, he is attending Wilson College Horse Camp.

🍀Jackson enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hunting, playing with his dog, and trying to catch animals. He raises chickens and butterflies, plans to raise quail, and also cares for a rabbit, cat, and two fish. He loves visiting his grandfather Rodney’s range, plays guitar (he’s taking lessons), and prefers slower country music, especially artists like Jackson Dean and Hank Williams.

💚Jackson's Favorite Part of 4-H?
🌱He likes 4-H because he gets to do different things. He is currently working on the "See Them Sprout" project book. He has planted pumpkin seeds and hopes to enter his pumpkins into a fair.

🐎On Saturday, May 30th, Franklin County 4-H Horse Club members attended a Grooming and Showmanship Clinic & Fun Show!

💚At the event, 4-H'ers were able to learn and grow, all while having fun!

"At our Grooming and Showmanship Clinic we learned many things. We worked on different parts of a Showmanship pattern and then practice some patterns. Our presenter also worked with us last year, so she was able to help us build on what she taught last year. She was able to complement our growth from last year and continue to help us learn more. This opportunity to work around other horses was a great experience and good preparation for our show. At the end of the clinic, our presenter asked us an interesting question, "What was the hardest part of what we had worked on?" This question made us think about what we still needed to work on and she was able to give us specific feedback to keep practicing. This event was a lot of fun and a great learning experience for all of us and our horses!"

🍀Checkout our 4-H'ers putting their HANDS to larger service!! 🍀

On Thursday, June 4th, 4-H Members from Teen Leadership Council volunteered with the Joyful Servants Ministry at the Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation & Wellness Center.

Members helped with a parade that was planned for the residents to celebrate America's 250th birthday! While there, members helped transport residents to the social room, and then throughout the facility and outside for the parade!

🌟 4-H Member Spotlight! 🌟

Our first 4-H Member spotlight is for Adrian Davis, nominated by the Chambersburg 4-H Horse & Pony Club!

Meet Adrian! 🐎
Adrian has been actively involved in the Chambersburg 4-H Horse & Pony Club for the past 10 years. She has also been involved in the Franklin County Teen Leadership Council for the past 5 years. She has been president and vice president of the Teen Leadership Council and leads many activities in the Horse & Pony Club as well.

💚She is self-motivated, hard-working, and a great role model to younger members. Adrian has recently put her skills to work to partner with Horizon Farm Credit to organize a workshop day for older for 4-H members.

🍀Adrian's Favorite Part of 4-H?
Adrian enjoys using her knowledge and skills to teach younger members new things!

🎉Join us in the next coming weeks as we highlight some of our Franklin County 4-H members! Leaders, don't forget to submit your member spotlights!
