Last night was such a special celebration as we honored our amazing seniors and all of their hard work! 🎓✨ We are so proud of each graduate and excited to see all the incredible things ahead for them.

Each year, our PTO is proud to help ease the financial burden on families by covering the cost of caps and gowns for every senior. This year, we were also honored to provide diplomas as part of our continued commitment to supporting our students and families during this memorable milestone.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! Once a Bobcat, always a Bobcat! 🐾💚

Today was FULL of fun and celebration for our Bobcats! 🎉🎨🌈

Our PTO was so excited to celebrate our amazing Pre-K and Kindergarten students and their upcoming graduation with face painting by ✨ Macon Faces Face Painting ✨! There were so many smiles, sparkles, superheroes, butterflies, and happy little faces all around! 💚

We also helped make Mrs. Holden’s 4th grade End-of-Testing Color Run celebration extra special by providing supplies for all the colorful fun! 🌟🏃‍♂️🎉 After working so hard all year, our students definitely deserved a day to celebrate BIG!

We love being able to support our students and teachers and help create memories that make school so special. Thank you to everyone who supports our PTO and helps us bring these fun experiences to life! 🐾💚💛

What an incredible week celebrating our amazing Blue Ridge School and Early College teachers! 🐾

The week kicked with snacks provided by the Boys & Girls Club of the Plateau on Monday, then PTO got to serve our teachers a delicious breakfast with doughnuts, bagels, and fresh fruit, and wrapped up the celebrations with a taco bar lunch on Thursday! 🌮🍩🍓

Our students truly made this week extra special by bringing sweet notes, beautiful flowers, tasty treats, and joining in on our Super Hero spirit week fun! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️

Our teachers are real-life superheroes every single day — showing love, patience, encouragement, and dedication to our students. We are so blessed to have such an incredible group of teachers at our school, and we are thankful for all they do for our Bobcats! 💚💛

Parents — if you have pictures of your kids celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week, dressing up, or showing love to their teachers, drop them in the comments! We would love to see them! 📸

Don’t let this sneak up on you—Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week starts TOMORROW! 🎉

Blue Ridge School & Early College will be celebrating May 4th–May 8th, and this year’s theme is 🦸‍♂️ SUPERHEROES – because not all superheroes wear capes!

Here are a few fun (and totally optional!) ways you and your student can help show appreciation all week long:

⭐ Monday: Write a note or poem for your teacher
🌼 Tuesday: Bring a flower or plant
🍬 Wednesday: Send in a sweet treat or snack
🙌 Thursday: Give teachers high fives in the hallways
🦸 Friday: Dress up as your favorite superhero

Let’s come together to make our teachers & staff feel appreciated for all they do!

We are now accepting nominations for our May Executive Board elections!

Our Nominating Committee includes:
• Rayna Crisp (BRS Principal)
• Allison McCall (BRS Representative)
• Kristi McCall (BREC Representative)
• Emerald Ammons (PTO Member)
• Ali Moody (PTO Board Member)

Interested in serving on the PTO Board? We’d love to hear from you!

Email [email protected] by Wednesday, May 6th to be considered.

Requirements:
✔ Must have been a PTO member for at least 1 year
✔ Must pass a background check to become a verified JCPS volunteer
👉 Current board members are eligible to run for re-election.
🗳️ Elections will be held at our Annual May Meeting on Monday, May 11 (5/11)

Today we’re celebrating two incredible members of our Blue Ridge School family! 💚💛

We’re sending a big thank you to Kristina Gould for National School Librarian Appreciation Day (April 4th). Even though the day has passed, we couldn’t miss the chance to recognize all the ways she supports our students and fosters a love of reading across our school.

We’re also celebrating Paula Jackson during National Assistant Principals Week! Her leadership, dedication, and daily support make such a positive impact on our students, staff, and entire school community.

We recently surprised them with a few goodies as a small token of our appreciation for all they do.

Thank you Mrs. G & Mrs. Jackson!!!

Today we celebrated our amazing Blue Ridge School social worker, Allison McCall, for School Social Worker Week! 💚💛 While the official week was last week, we wanted to make sure Allison knew just how appreciated she is.

She does so much to support our students, families, and staff each day. To say thank you, we surprised her with a goodie bag filled with some of her favorite snacks and a few other treats.

As a bonus, a beautiful double rainbow appeared over the school — a perfect reminder of the positivity and care Allison brings to our school community every day. 🌈

Thank you, Allison, for all that you do!

📣 Volunteers Needed for Curriculum Night – We Need Your Help!

Our Curriculum Night on March 24th is an important opportunity for families to connect with our school, and we need at least 6 volunteers to help make this part of the evening a success.

We will begin serving healthy snacks to parents and family members at 4:30 PM, with each grade level hosting a table and offering a different snack. To make this run smoothly for our students and families, we need volunteers who can:

• Arrive at 3:30 PM to help set up tables
• Help our students serve snacks to families from 4:30–5:00 PM

At 5:00 PM, you’ll be free to join your family for the class presentations as the rest of Curriculum Night continues.

Your help truly makes a difference in creating a welcoming and successful event for our families. If you are able to volunteer, please email Danielle Rice at [email protected].
