Summit Charter School Summit Charter School is a K-12 tuition-free public school in Cashiers, NC. At Summit, learning is an exciting adventure.

Located in the beautiful mountains of Cashiers, North Carolina, Summit offers a high-quality and unique K-12 educational program that connects students to the many wonderful environmental and community resources that surround the school. Imagine studying geology while hiking the Chattooga River, or forces and motion while scaling Looking Glass Mountain, or American History and heritage through the

cultural voices of the Cherokee Indians. Learning takes on tremendous value when academic rigor is combined with character education and first-hand experiences through local field studies and place-based excursions. Summit is a *tuition-free* public charter school. For the 2022-23 school year, we will serve 295 students and 45 faculty and staff, representing five counties in rural western North Carolina.

What a season 🐻⚽️

In just our third year of Varsity Girls Soccer (this year being our first full season), the Summit Bears finished as the NCHSAA 1A State Runner-Ups after an undefeated regular season, becoming Regional Champions of the West, and appearing in the first State Championship game of any sports team in Southern Jackson County.

This team inspired an entire community — from the town-wide sendoff to the final whistle — and proved what is possible through hard work, belief, and heart. We couldn’t be prouder of these student-athletes, their coaches, their families, and the legacy they’ve built. The future is BRIGHT for the Bears! 💡🥅

After a well-fought Championship game, leaving every ounce of effort out on the field, the coaches let the girls shave their heads... hair lost; history made 🤭

We are proud to announce that Victoria Clement was voted Conference Player of the Year, Kayleigh Bonner and Olivia Reeves were voted All Conference, and All Conference Honorable Mentions were Rae Bennett, Lydia Hughes, Nelly Morales-Campos, Bailey Robinson, Sydney Sinclair, and Jaylin Wells.

Our Varsity Girls Soccer team is making history! 🏟️ We are SO proud to have cruised through four rounds of the State tournament and are hyper-focused on the Championship game on Thursday! 🥅 Whether you are staying local or traveling for the game, cheer on these super hardworking Bears and all their achievements.
