At House of Grace Thailand, every educational milestone is worth celebrating!

From sixth graders purchasing books for their new dormitory library to high school graduates receiving laptops for college, our girls are being rewarded for their hard work, determination, and commitment to education.

And the celebrations don't stop there! Girls choosing to continue their education beyond ninth grade, along with university and technical college graduates, are receiving special recognition for their achievements.

This is what happens when we invest in the lives of young girls! Through the love, encouragement, and generosity of our Global Servants family, these young women are discovering their God-given potential and building brighter futures.

In this episode of the Travis Rutland Podcast (Ep. 26), I take us through the life of Barnabas in Acts 4, 9, 13, and 15 and challenge us to become sons and daughters of encouragement. Barnabas saw potential in people others had given up on, including Saul, who would become the Apostle Paul. He was willing to serve without needing the credit, and he showed grace even when he disagreed with others.

We all need a Barnabas in our lives, and we are called to be one for the people around us. Somewhere out there is a Saul who needs someone to see what God has placed inside of him, and somewhere there is a John Mark who needs someone to believe that his story isn't over. The world is full of discouragement, but the church should be full of people who speak life, love, grace, and encouragement.

In this episode of The Leader’s Notebook (Ep. 335), I bring the story of David to its final chapter as we look at his death, Solomon’s transition to the throne, and the people who surrounded David in his final days. From 1 Kings 2 and 2 Samuel 23, we see a king who, even at the end of a life marked by hardship, failure, betrayal, and victory, was still pursuing the heart of God. David’s final words reveal a man who understood both his own imperfections and the faithfulness of God’s covenant.

This passage also gives us a sobering look at ambition, resentment, wounded hearts, disloyalty, and the complications that come with leading people. But above all, David’s story leaves us with the question we have been asking all along: Why was David called a man after God’s own heart? I believe it means he was a man in pursuit of God’s heart. He fell, he failed, and he faced one struggle after another, but he kept getting back up and moving toward God. As we close this part of David’s story, Psalm 23 reminds us where David ultimately found his confidence: “The Lord is my shepherd.”

In this episode of the Travis Rutland Podcast (Ep. 25), I take us into Daniel 3 and the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace. There are seasons when we find ourselves in the fire through no fault of our own, and in those moments, we need to remember that we are not alone. There is a fourth man in the fire.

The fire is painful, but God is still sovereign. In the furnace, we can discover freedom from the things that have bound us, encounter Jesus in ways we have never known before, and learn to trust Him even when we cannot see what He is doing. If you're walking through a season of suffering, uncertainty, or tribulation, hold on to the fourth man in the fire. He will sustain you, and He will never leave you or forsake you.

It may look like a simple art project. But something much bigger is happening.

At House of Grace–Thailand, every opportunity to create is also an opportunity to learn, grow, and discover new abilities.

As the girls draw, color, cut, and create, they’re developing fine motor skills, strengthening communication, learning to solve problems, building confidence, and discovering the joy of turning their own ideas into something beautiful.

For girls who may arrive at House of Grace behind academically or without consistent access to education, moments like these are an important part of helping them catch up—and flourish.

It’s more than an art project. It’s another opportunity to discover what they can accomplish.

In this episode of The Leader’s Notebook (Ep. 334), I continue our study of the Life and Leadership of King David by looking at the complicated final seasons of his life. From the conflict between Israel and Judah in 2 Samuel 19–20 to David’s failures, the census, the plague, and the preparation for Solomon, we see a man who was both deeply flawed and profoundly devoted to God. David was a warrior, a king, a worshiper, and a leader who learned that following God does not mean a life free from conflict or difficulty.

Yet one of the greatest lessons from David’s later years is that leadership is not only about what we accomplish ourselves, but about preparing others to carry the work forward. David learned to build, organize, sacrifice, and prepare for a temple he would never personally build. His story reminds us that faithfulness sometimes means doing the work that will bless the next generation. And through all the battles, failures, victories, and disappointments, David’s heart still points us back to the truth of Psalm 23: “The Lord is my shepherd.”
