FUH3 bounces Summer Hill-1, 91-76, to claim another SEBL Metro Conference Title - their fourth overall championship.

The lead see-sawed throughout the first half, with FUH3 taking a slim spread into the half-time talk. Doing damage, offensively, for FUH3 was Saveyon Edwards, KJ Jenkins and Mike Hemsley, who combined for 35 of their first half point-total. Edwards and Jenkins drained six threes, collectively. AJ Mosby and JaQuan Nelson were helping SH1 keep pace with 28 combined, including five treys between them. In the second half, the dog-fight continued with the advantage continuing to change hands. With about 13 minutes remaining, Summer Hill-1 was clinging to a one-point lead at 51-50. Sub rotations created an opportunity for FUH3, which they took full advantage of, and over the next five and half minutes, they would real off a 25-2 run, which included a bevvy of triples from the likes of Jenkins, Spencer Dixon and Chris Longoria. When the dust settled, SH1 found themselves down 75-55 - and the rest was a matter of whether FUH3 would play it smart down the stretch. During that run, SH1's offense dried, as Mosby couldn't muster much and Nelson was on the bench. SH1 managed to recoup some, with Ryan Davis battling his way for desperate buckets, to see his team work back to a 10-deficit, at 80-70, with about 3:30 remaining. They had possessions to clip into it more, which could have renewed the possible balance of the game, but they couldn't connect. Along the way, Hemsley was muscling for offensive rebounds, put-backs and kick-outs to open teammates. As time ticked, FUH3's Dixon would answer with a dozen consecutive points by himself to close out the game, including two three-point daggers in the closing minute to add insult to injury.

Davis and Mosby finished with 27 and 25, respectively, but no other SH1 player reached double-figures, with Nelson being held to the eight he tallied in the opening stanza. The enigmatic Sy Brockington managed six in the loss, as did Shamar Griffin. For FUH3, Dixon finished with 25, while Edwards had 21, Jenkins 19, Hemsley 14 and Longoria with his very timely eight.

Hemsley, who fueled the team throughout the playoffs, carried home an SEBL championship trophy, an SEBL League MVP selection and a 'cargo ship' full of rebounds.

WSEBL Championship was claimed by Wood Elite-black, after pulling away for a 61-42 win over Wood Elite-white.

WE-w opened up a close game, pulling away in the latter minutes of the first half, to take a 32-15 lead into the half-time break. They were able to generally cruise to the victory, as Wood Elite-white simply did not have enough to work back into the game down the stretch.

Shebly McCall led WE-w in scoring with 10, while Madison Moody and Emily Jacobs each had six. Marissa Mason and Sloane Vick each also collected five in the loss.

Joy Tchamabe did what she has done all summer by overwhelming the WEw defense with her inside presence to the tune of 27 points in the title game. Saniah Dorsey also had 11, Kiana Howell nine and Jayda Jackson six in the win.

Tchamabe was named the 2025 WSEBL MVP for her strong effort on the summer, wherein she averaged. 26.8 points per game, while also leading the league in rebounding and shooting percentage. Her 26.8 per game average is the highest WSEBL average in the league's history. The WSEBL was established in 1995.

SH-Baseline-2 works back from big deficit to force OT and steal the title from the SH-Warriors on Sunday afternoon in the SEBL City Conference Championship. SHW led by as many as 21 in the first half, as they raced out to the big lead with SHB2 shooting dismally. SHB2 was down 40-23 with about 3-minutes left in the half, but finally began to generate some offense, eventually going into the half still down 44-35. But, they had begun to slowly work themselves back in the game. Kenon Dixon's lay-up with a few seconds left in regulation, knotted the score and SHW could not answer at the buzzer, sending the final game to over-time, which has become a bit of a tradition for the City Conference championship contest. In the OT, SHW scored first, but was unable to connect on another basket, with SHB2 scoring six unanswered points, including a big three from Perigon Dyer and freethrows from Mason McKinney to ice it. Down, by three with a last possession to possibly tie it up, Cade Archer's long-three attempt at the buzzer narrowly missed.

Archer paced the Warriors, with 20 in the game, while Nate Louis had 17, Zaylan Chaney 16 and Jakaden Barkley 12. Wyatt Thomason, a top scorer for SHW, only managed seven in the game, and Louis incurred a wrist injury that slowed his production as the game progressed. For SHB2, Kenon Dixon poured in 27, scoring 18 of those in the second half, after a slow start. McKinney and Dyer each had 14, Korley Grier 11 and Jeremiah Alston 10.

For their efforts, Archer and Dixon were named Co-MVP's of the City Conference for the summer of 2026. Dixon averaged 27 pts, 8 rebounds and 3.5 steals on the summer, while Archer, who averaged 20.1, also shot approximately 60% from the field, averaged 7.2 assists, 5.6 rebounds and 2.2 steals.

SEBL Metro A-League Final Four Results for Saturday, August 1, 2026:

The more things change, the more they stay the same. After it's all said and done... familiars wind up back in the finals.

FUH3 Athletix 93 Mach One Capyberas 82...
This one was billed to be a match up of different styles, with a great deal of emotion, which is exactly what it wound up being. FUH3 with a mix of size, aggression and some shooting, against the face-paced run n' gun shooting of Mach One. Leads changed hands through out the first half, with Mach 1 leading a several junctures, but when FUH3 wasn't feeding Mike Hemsley to power his way to the basket, they were also giving Mach One a taste of their own medicine with seven combined first half treys from Brannon Hopkins, Ronnie Walker and Marcus Dortch. Dylan Wolled and Ryan Williams were doing what they could to help Mach One keep pace, but FUH3 still went into the half up 49-41, after a buzzer beating three by Walker. The second half, saw FUH3 work to keep pace by continuing to feed Hemsley, while Williams and Wolle continued to do their thing for Mach One. But, Preston Parker also got in the mix for for Mach One, as he had a stretch of offensive prowess, to get his team back in contention. But, the story in the second half was the late-arriving Spencer Dixon, who poured in 17 points in the second half alone. His effort was the difference down the stretch, as FUH3, once again advances to the SEBL Finals. For Mach One, Wolle and Williams finished with 26 and 20, respectively, as Parker also collected 16 and Mason Bennett eight. Sam Johnson, who has burned the nets all summer had an unusually low seven in the season-ending loss. For FUH3, Hemsley had 19 points and likely 25 rebounds, to go along with Dixon's 17. Hopkins also finished with 15, Dortch 12, Sayeveon Edwards 12 and Walker 11.

Summer Hill-1 46 MOAM-1 44...
In what was one of the ugliest SEBL Metro Conference games in memory, AJ Mosby drilled a step-through 2-pointer from just inside the top of the key at the buzzer to sink MOAM-1's hopes of reaching the SEBL Metro Conference finals for the first time. Instead, the last second shot, which is a bit of a historical thing for Mosby, set up the rematch with MOAM-1 and the opportunity for Summer Hill-1 to defend their 2025 title. SH1 led for much of the way, but MOAM's CJ Bennett, took an inbounds pass and drove right, down the lane and layed it in with a little over 6 seconds left on the clock to knot the score at 44-all. After a timeout by SH1, to advance, the inbounds went to Mosby who wrangled his way from beyond half court, through defenders to get to the top of the key. Bottled up, Mosby kept his pivot foot secure, and stepped through several defenders, releasing the shot at just the right time. The buzzer began to sound, just before the ball cleanly went though the net. MOAM-1, typically a high-scoring team, got 11 from Braxton Benham, while Bennett had nine, and Jordan Grayson eight. Nate Louis, Justice Hayes and Makaile Sanders each contributed five in the low scoring contest. For SH1, now 4-4 overall, JaQuan Nelson had 15, Mosby 15 and Julian Balwin 10. Ryan Davis, who had 46 in the opening playoff game, only managed three in the win. SH1, coming into the playoffs as the #4 seed and with a dismal 1-4 pool record, now finds themselves back in the title game against a team they have faced many times in the finals. It is almost a tradition, as this point.

WSEBL Final Four Results for Saturday, August 1, 2026:

Wood Elite-white 64 Baseline-3 37...
WEw was in control from the start, enroute to a 30-Though B3 was able to generate more offense in the second half, it was simply too late. For B3, Brinkly Kate Reed had 16 and Destiny Lovejoy 10, as they saw their season come to a close. Wood Elite-white, who moves on to the WSEBL Championship, got 15 from Sage Smiley, whiole Madison Moody had 11, Marissa Mason eight, Kailyn Hamby seven, Lily Conkell and Sloane Vick 5 each. Harper and Bailey Vick also each netted four, as they will now move on to face their sister team, Wood Elite-black, in the finals on Sunday, Aug. 2 at 5:15pm.

Wood Elite-black 97 Summer HIll-3 41...
The outcome of this one was rather academic, as it was essentially experience against youth. WEb jumped out 15-0 before SH3 was able to get on the board, and things didn't change much the rest of the way. WEb led 45-14 at the intermission. For SH3, Chikandi Banda had nine, Ziah McConnell six, Layla Whitener four. For Wood Elite-black, Joy Tchamabe pounded in 37 points, as Iziah McCutchins had 21, Jayda Jackson 17 and Ka'Mya Washington 11. Saniah Dorsey also had eight in the winning cause, as #1 seeded Wood Elite-black advancing to the finals on Sunday at 5:15pm, where they will will face off against Wood Elite-white, the #2 seed
