FLOAT THE RIVER AND COOKOUT TOMORROW!!!

Join us! The weather looks beautiful for celebrating Fathers’ Day this weekend, and to float the River tomorrow! Meet at the lodge at 10:30 to float. We are putting in at Sam Smith and getting out at 113. Lunch will be served around 12:30. Please bring a side or dessert to share! Come on out! The weather, floating, and food will be great!

Our Cartersville Elks Lodge proudly flies our United States flag every day. The colors of our flag hold specific meanings. Red represents valor and hardiness. White indicates purity and innocence, and blue signifies vigilance, perseverance, and justice.

This Sunday, June 14, is our nation’s annual Flag Day and begins Flag Week. Every year, the US President issues a proclamation for citizens across the nation to fly our own American flags. Our Lodge is happy and grateful to fly our country’s flag on this Flag Day and Week with appreciation for our great nation, and we encourage all members to fly their flags, too.

Let’s get patriotic! Fly those flags, take a photo, and share it on our page.

We’ll see you a week from tomorrow for our next meeting on 6/18. We open at 5, eat at 7, and meet at 8.

On this Memorial Day weekend and especially on Monday, let’s each take time to remember those who lost their lives in the service of our great nation. Freedom isn’t free, and we honor all of these soldiers and their ultimate sacrifices in the service of our country.

Just a heads up to those members who spend Thursdays at the Lodge between meeting nights: Tonight, the Lodge is reserved for the Cartersville Exchange Club Reverse Raffle. There will be many people here for it, including a lot of our members who plan to be part of that fun.

Our spring Ladies’ Wine on the River last night was so fun! The weather cooperated (well, except for the last 30 minutes), and the evening was just perfect. Thanks to all our members who came with drinks and food and to old and new friends who joined us. Thanks to Tim O’Donovan Music for playing for us. And a special thanks to our bartenders who took great care of us. We’ll do this again, so check back often.
