What a season, Cartersville Little League! As we wrap up the 2026 Spring Season, we want to celebrate everything that made this year unforgettable.

This year we cheered on:
• 8 Major League teams
• 12 Minor League teams
• 8 Rookie League teams
• 2 Junior League teams
• 1 Senior League team
• 10 All‑Star teams
• 278 games played across our league during the season.

We came together for Opening Day, Family Fun Night, Homecoming, Youth Night at Richard Bell Field, New Year’s Camp, Fall Clinics, Picture Night, Registration Days, Evaluations, Team Drafts, a Christmas Parade, and all the small moments in between.

Behind the scenes, Cartersville Little League ran on:
• 101 coaches
• 28 team moms
• 15 board members
• 2,225 orders of french fries and cheese sticks
• 90 dozen baseballs
• And countless volunteers and supporters
• And our dedicated in‑house umpires, who kept the game fair, safe, and fun all season long. Thank you for your time, consistency, and commitment to our players.

The 2026 Cartersville Little League 12U Purple All-Star season has come to an end, and for these young men, it marks the final chapter of their Little League careers.

Many of these players have proudly worn the Cartersville Little League uniform since they were just 7 years old. Over the years, they have created lifelong friendships, celebrated unforgettable victories, learned from tough losses, and represented our league with pride. While we’re sad to see this chapter close, we are excited to watch them continue their baseball journeys and hope to see each of them back on the field in our Junior League next season.

Patrick has faithfully served Cartersville Little League not only as the head coach of the Padres and manager of multiple All-Star teams, but also behind the scenes as a member of the Little League Board, serving as our scheduler over the past several seasons. Countless hours of volunteer work often go unnoticed, but they are essential to making our league successful. We are incredibly grateful for your time, leadership, and dedication to our players and families.

Thank you also to Assistant Coaches Bryan Villarreal and Stephen Womack. Like so many in our league, these men volunteered their time because they love the game and wanted to invest in the lives of these players. Your commitment, encouragement, and countless hours on the practice field and in the dugout have made a lasting impact.

12U Purple Faces Win-or-Go-Home Battle Today

The Cartersville Little League 12U Purple All-Stars fought until the very end in their opening game of the Georgia Little League State Tournament, but came up just short in a heartbreaking extra-inning walk-off loss.

The Purple squad showed tremendous grit, battling back to take the lead late before the game was eventually decided on the final play. Cartersville out-hit their opponent 10-7, with Everett S. leading the offense with three hits. Josh V. drove in two runs and delivered a key triple, while the Purple pitching staff combined for a strong effort, keeping the game within reach through eight hard-fought innings.

Now it’s time to regroup.

🏆 2026 Georgia Little League 8-10 State Tournament Runner-Up 🏆

What an incredible journey for our Cartersville Little League 10U Purple All-Stars!

After dropping a game early in the tournament, this team showed tremendous heart and determination by battling all the way through the loser’s bracket. They earned their way back to the championship and handed previously undefeated American Little League its first loss of the tournament, forcing a winner-take-all “if” game. Although the championship didn’t end the way we had hoped, these boys represented Cartersville with grit, sportsmanship, and pride every step of the way to finish as the 2026 Georgia Little League 8-10 State Runner-Up.

A special thank you to Athens Little League at Holland Park (Georgia Little League District 10) for hosting a fantastic state tournament and working tirelessly through the weather to provide a great experience for all of the players and families.

10U Purple Forces the Winner-Take-All Championship!

The fight isn’t over! 💜⚾

Cartersville Little League 10U Purple kept its state championship hopes alive Thursday night with a huge 4-2 victory over previously undefeated American Little League, forcing the if game for the Georgia Little League 8-10 State Championship!

The Purple jumped on the board early with a four-run first inning. Jett N delivered a clutch two-run double to spark the offense, while the team capitalized on a pair of defensive miscues to build an early lead they would never surrender.

Brantley T turned in a gritty performance on the mound, working five strong innings while allowing just two runs and striking out four. Jack B slammed the door in relief with a scoreless inning, striking out two to earn the save.

At the plate, Jack B set the tone from the leadoff spot with two hits, while Jett N drove in two runs. The Purple defense was outstanding all game, playing error-free baseball behind their pitchers.

Now it all comes down to one game!
