Some of Carmel Cares best volunteers are the four legged kind! This is Emma going out for a water run in the Water Wizards truck named Big Poppy! She has fun helping our volunteers keep Carmel beautiful safe and inviting.

🌿 Growing Community Through Collaboration! 🌿
This past Saturday, Carmel Cares volunteers joined forces with Horticulture Professor Alan Wheat of Monterey Peninsula College and some of his students for a special garden planting project at the Carl Cherry Center for the Arts in Carmel-by-the-Sea (Fourth & Guadalupe).
Nancy and Denny Hoeft have been volunteering in this garden for the past five years—taking it from special to spectacular! They worked closely with Professor Wheat and his students to reinvigorate the soil, as well as plant and beautify the garden areas in preparation for an upcoming memorial tribute.
A heartfelt THANK YOU to Alan Wheat, his wonderful students, and our dedicated Carmel Cares volunteers for helping make a difference at this beautiful neighborhood gem.
This is what community spirit is all about! 🌱💚

Carmel Cares loves taking care of the beautiful garden at the Church of the Wayfarer in Carmel. This past Saturday some of our dedicated Downtown Detail folks spent the morning trimming, pruning and caring for this special place. Way to go team!

Wednesday morning, a couple of the Carmel Cares team tried to pull down a kite from a tree branch on Scenic Drive. It was way too high even with our special tools. The Carmel Fire Department was making it’s usual morning rounds and stopped to assist. Thank you to the fireman for helping us to get a kite (not a cat) down from a tree!🌲 🪁

Carmel Cares at Concourse for the Cause
Car Week officially kicked off on the Monterey Peninsula, and the excitement made its way to downtown Carmel with the wonderful Concourse for the Cause!
This special Car Week event supports local nonprofits through donations from participating exhibitors, and Carmel Cares was honored to be one of the benefiting organizations. ❤️
Our amazing volunteers came out to celebrate the incredible cars, connect with our community, and share the Carmel Cares message of keeping Carmel beautiful, safe, and inviting!
It was a beautiful day filled with gorgeous cars, great people, and plenty of Carmel Cares spirit. A fun time was had by all!
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible and to the exhibitors who generously supported local nonprofits. We are so grateful to be part of this wonderful Carmel community!

Carmel Cares had a fun time participating in the Carmel Art Walk yesterday! So many great artists in this town and such an interesting way to spend an afternoon. Thanks to the artists who participated and for showcasing their talents and sharing their delightful treats. We wouldn’t be the same community without you. Thank you!

Cigarette butts are a problem everywhere fortunately, our Carmel Cares “Butt Brigade” not only collects butts — but also facilitates the recycling of these butts to turn them into useful products through a company called TerraCycle. Carmel Cares has collected over 400,000 cigarette butts so far! Keeping them off our streets and out of our ocean!
