Happy New Year Kiwanis Cape Coral Members!
I am honored to lead the club this term; thank you for your confidence in me.
During the last over two years, the board (under Eric Feichthaler’s leadership as president) cleared many financial and legal obligations. Eric continues to work with city and/or other entities clearing conflicts as “past president”. Dusty Shelton, our treasurer, continues to share her small business expertise, adopting QuickBooks for our added security and visibility. We have our librarian and beloved secretary, Ann Vaughn. She files our Kiwanis official reports and keeps the records for this four million dollar plus enterprise. Not to mention, she is the “go to” for historic club questions.
Also, during the last two years we have become employers. We are navigating the compliance and daily business issues under the leadership of our Operations Manager, Rich Leon. We are thankful for our other employees and our hundreds of store volunteers, keeping the lights on for our organization. Just like we are the best Thrift Store in the Cape; we want to be the best employer in the Cape.
We also have our SLP leaders, SLP students, past board members, past committee leaders, members and volunteers to thank for our club outreach and growth.
We have our current board of directors: Tracie Sicard, Julie Ferguson, Rich Rolfe, Eric Gundersen, our officers; Beth Elaine (pres), Al Piotter (vice pres.), Eric Feichthaler (past pres), Dusty Shelton (treasurer), Ann Vaughn (secretary) helping us to make good decisions and be good stewards of the funds coming from our businesses and investments. We want you to join our leadership team.
Currently, my focus will be building on the successes of the past adding or shoring up process improvements, increasing information provided to members (including opportunities to serve on committees), and thereby (I hope) increasing your membership satisfaction and our community impact!
You are our greatest resource, and I thank you for choosing to spend your precious time and energy with our community organization.
Yours in service,
Beth
