As the U.S. Mint continues to celebrate the Semiquincentennial with new coin designs. The Enduring Liberty Semiquincentennial half dollar is now available in 200-coin bags and two-roll sets.

The obverse features a close-up view of the Statue of Liberty, her gaze looking out towards the future. The reverse shows Liberty passing her torch to a new generation, the flame trailing with the momentum of purpose. The inscription “KNOWLEDGE IS THE ONLY GUARDIAN OF TRUE LIBERTY” is seen along the top.

The U.S. Mint has launched the 2026 American Eagle One Ounce Gold Proof Coin to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our Nation’s founding with a limited-edition release struck at West Point, New York.

To commemorate the semiquincentennial of our Nation’s founding, this special one-year issue of the American Eagle Gold Coin bears the dates “1776 ~ 2026” and a unique Liberty Bell privy mark with the numeral “250.” The obverse (heads) design features Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ classic full-length figure of Liberty with flowing hair, holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left.

The reverse (tails) design features a portrayal of an eagle. Inscriptions are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” “50 DOLLARS,” and “1 OZ. FINE GOLD.”

Each 22-karat coin is placed in a clamshell and black presentation case with the United States Mint seal on the lid. The case is put in an outer sleeve with a limited-edition 250th anniversary design.

It’s composed of 91.67% gold, 3% silver, and the rest is copper.

The combination of a shiny metallic and a matte look gives the coin a unique high-contrast finish, according to the U.S. Mint.
