JACK UPDATE: THIS IS WHY WE DO IT
"Let them know he’s so loved and very happy"

We try not to take on a lot of owner rehomes because there are already so many dogs sitting on the urgent list who desperately need us. But every once in a while, a situation comes along that cannot wait.

Jack was one of those dogs.

We knew Jack loved his balls, had a LOT of energy, and needed a new home quickly. So we scooped him up. ❤️

I fostered Jack here for a few days before he went to boarding. While in our care, he was neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested, started on heartworm prevention, and temperament tested so we could learn as much as possible about him before placing him.

And now look at him. 🥹❤️

Jack has found a beautiful family who absolutely adores him, including children who are more than happy to help him burn off all that energy!

The energy that wasn't the best fit for his previous home turned out to be exactly what this family wanted. Sometimes it really is just about finding the right home for the right dog.

I'm incredibly grateful to Jack's previous owner for reaching out and trusting Blake's Buddies with a dog they obviously loved very much. Rehoming a dog you love isn't always an easy decision, and they wanted to make sure Jack ended up somewhere he could thrive.

And I'm equally grateful for the families who trust us to be transparent about our dogs before adoption and who know that our relationship doesn't end when they take their new family member home. We're here afterward, too.

Meet Bruce, a gorgeous Great Bernedoodle who is approximately 6 years old and 55 pounds.

Bruce was on the euthanasia list at Clayton County Animal Control, but Blake’s Buddies got him out and saved his life! ❤️

Bruce has now been neutered, is up to date on all of his shots, and is ready for a home! He is a fun, active boy who loves people and is ready to start his next chapter with a family of his own.

🐾 ADOPTED. MEET ROMEO! 🐾 poodle

This beautiful boy is Romeo, and he came to us from South Georgia Animal Control. He is absolutely gorgeous, and did I mention he has ONE BLUE EYE? 💙 Just look at this handsome boy!

Romeo is approximately 2 years old and 18 pounds. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. He is playful, loving, and does great with dogs, kids, and just about everyone he meets.

Romeo loves to play, so a fenced backyard would be wonderful for him to run around and have fun. But don’t let that fool you. This boy can also be a total couch potato! He loves attention and is just as happy hanging out with his people and soaking up all the love. ❤️

He is crate trained and is house trained

🚨 URGENT: Clayton County Euthanasia List – Beautiful 2-Year-Old Border Collie Needs a Home 🚨

This beautiful girl is just 2 years old and about 30 pounds. She is a female Black Australian shepherd possibly
who is currently on the Clayton County euthanasia list this week.

She is people-friendly, sweet, and full of energy. She deserves a family who will love her and give her the life she deserves—not to be sitting on a euthanasia list.

If someone can save her, the rescue will make sure she is spayed and brought up to date on all vaccines.

Please, if you can help foster, adopt, or give her a chance, message me as soon as possible.

🚨 URGENT: Clayton County Euthanasia List – Three 5-Week-Old Puppies Need a Foster! 🚨

These three adorable mixed-breed puppies are on the Clayton County euthanasia list today. They were listed as 5 weeks old, but we believe they may actually be closer to 6–7 weeks old.

They are still a little too young for adoption, so we’re desperately looking for a foster for the next three weeks to help save their lives. Once they’re old enough, they’ll be available for adoption.

If you can foster these babies for a few weeks, or if you’re interested in adopting them when they’re ready, please message me immediately.
