Emergent Volunteer Opportunity!

We’re looking for volunteers to help us serve our community 💛

On Tuesday, March 24 (evening), we’ll be heading out to distribute bags of snacks and personal hygiene items to those in need around downtown Columbus. It’s a simple, meaningful way to connect, show kindness, and make a direct impact.

This effort is inspired by Miss Shirley Raines (), and we’re honored to carry it forward in her memory 💜

Our Madhukara Family has been called upon to help a dear soul in need. This JUST IN from our dear friend Myken -

"I first discovered Morty and his pup Lucky Dog a year ago on TikTok—cooking, training, and just being his hilarious, authentic self (dirty stove and all 😊). Since then, life’s thrown him some major curveballs: losing his home, living out of a hotel, then his car, all while on a mission to find treasures from a book of clues across the U.S. He’s made the best of his situation, keeping a positive attitude, enthusiasm for better life, optimism and a good sense of humor.

Recently, Morty’s car broke down in Ohio, stranding him and Lucky with no support nearby. I couldn’t let that be the end of the road. With help from Madhukara, a local nonprofit supporting the unhoused, we’re trying to get Morty a reliable used car to get him back on his feet and truly change his life!"

We’re hitting the streets of Columbus, OH to deliver food, drinks, and much needed essentials directly to those who are hungry and experiencing homelessness- and WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We are in full FOOD PREP mode for our two meals tomorrow! There is still time to be part of these meals with your support. The cost for the LSS Columbus meal is $380 for the yummy meatballs and pasta. It is $100 roughly for the taco meat for Hope in South Bend. DONATE AT THIS LINK to support these meals for those experiencing homelessness. Each location feeds roughly 150 individuals.
