🦕 Unearth a Story This Summer! 🦴

Our library is digging into an exciting Summer Reading Program filled with dinosaurs, archaeology, and hands-on discovery — and we’d love your help bringing it to life!

Community members and local businesses/organizations can support by donating to help fund programs, supplies, prizes, and special activities that inspire kids and families to explore, read, and learn all summer long. Every contribution helps us uncover new adventures and spark curiosity in young readers.

If you'd like to be part of this summer’s discovery, please consider making a donation. Together, we can unearth a story-filled summer for our community!

We were thrilled to sponsor Ms. Anna Alexander's first book signing event for her new book that she authored and published! This is so exciting for her and our community! The name of the book is "Monks Has A Bully" and is available for purchase on Amazon. Ms. Alexander works as the Director of Operations for the Boys and Girls Club of Mitchell County's and is housed at their Pelham Unit, so Mitchell County Children and Youth purchased a book for children attending the Pelham Unit. This event was held in conjunction with their Lights on Afterschool event, which also happened to be on Halloween. We also set up a table that included a Halloween craft for the kids to enjoy Lots of great fun and activities for the kids and we were grateful to be invited to be a part of it!
