CAST’s first fundraiser is on its way!
On Saturday, May 25th at 7:00 pm, The Extended CAST Variety Show will be held at the Camilla Chamber of Commerce (25 W Broad St Camilla, GA 31730).

The Extended CAST Variety Show consists of various performances by local musicians, singers, and more to raise funds for the CAST Program and promote growth in the Arts within our community! Join us for a night of fundraising, refreshments, and celebrating the talents of local performers! Tickets go on sale May 8th.

Reminder that our CAST: Spring & Summer Series Meeting is today at 5:00 pm in the Camilla Chamber of Commerce at 25 West Broad St. Camilla, GA 31730. We hope to see you there!

Welcome to the CAST!

To those who are unfamiliar with this program, CAST, also known as Community Alliance Stronger Together, is a non-profit music & drama group free to all 8th-12th grade students in Mitchell & Baker Counties. This program serves as a way to highlight the talents of the youth in our communities while providing a fun and non-competitive environment for our youths and parents to get to know each other.

On Sunday, March 24th, at 5:00 p.m., CAST will host a meeting at the Camilla Chamber of Commerce on 25 West Broad St. Camilla, GA 31730. We strongly encourage that all interested parties be in attendance as we will discuss registration, schedule information, and the introduction of our Spring & Summer Series.

This is the perfect program for students who are active or have interest in the Arts, as no previous experience is required. CAST hopes to highlight your talents whether it's singing, acting, dancing, playing instruments, or designing! For any questions, call (229) 336-5255, or email [email protected]. With our CAST: Get to Know Us! event/meeting this Sunday at 3:00 p.m., we would like to introduce you to our Program Director, Erin Smith!

Erin Smith, an alumnus of Westwood Schools and the University of Georgia, started performing at the age of three years old with Flint River Dance Arts. She continued her passion for live performance through One Act at Westwood Schools and joined Dance Theatre South. After graduating high school, Smith attended the University of Georgia where she fell in love with the behind-the-scenes of Theatre. There, she studied Theatre with an emphasis in Design and learned the ins and outs of costume design and construction, scenic painting, lighting, sound, and directing. Through this knowledge, she worked in many creative areas such as a costume shop assistant in UGA’s Theatre Department, a head costumer for UGA’s production of A Little Night Music, co-director of Westwood’s Region and State-winning One Act Play, and a Set Designer and Sound Tech for DTS’s Tutus and Tinsel. As a previous performer, Smith uses her past experiences to guide her decisions while working with costumes, sets, lights, sound, and directing to ensure the comfort and safety of performers.
