RAHYA (1990 Princess) has been an integral part of Roxie's Hope over the past five years, and we have surely enjoyed supporting their mission of providing funds to women who have triumphed over domestic violence by volunteering at their Purse Bingo fundraisers.
Although Roxie's Hope is dissolving, funds already raised will make a big impact! A $35,000 check was given to Family Pathways for the Black Dog Hill Shelter, $35,000 will be given to Heart’s Haven Shelter in Bemidji; $9,000 will be given to Support Within Reach in Bemidji; and $9,000 will be given to HOPE (Healing Opportunity Provided Equally) in Aitkin.
“The remaining assets of Roxie’s Hope will be distributed to Minnesota domestic violence shelters and advocacy agencies whose missions closely align with our own,” RAHYA said. “It is our hope that these funds will continue to provide meaningful assistance to survivors throughout Minnesota, allowing Roxie’s (Karelis) compassion and spirit to live on through the work of the organizations serving those in need every day."
We will whole-heartedly continue to support RAHYA's future fundraising efforts that will lift women up via other non-profit organizations, as well as volunteering at Black Dog Hill each spring with our candidates.
