The Step Up to Leadership Class is a FREE, 12-week VIRTUAL course is designed to give you leadership skills to follow your passions and make a difference in our community! Each session is 2 hours long and begins the week of June 15th through August 31st. Selected participants will be from Boone, Callaway, Cole, Cooper, Howard, Moniteau and Osage counties.

Participants are:

People who want to take on the challenge of leadership
People with a passion, who want to make a difference in their communities
People who are willing to assume the responsibilities of board membership
People who want to feel more competent, knowledgeable, and effective in a board setting
There are income guidelines however anyone who may be interested is welcome to apply. Applications will be reviewed for consistency with CMCA’s mission and values. *Application deadline is June 3rd.

🏀✨ What an amazing night with the Harlem Wizards! ✨🏀

On April 7, we welcomed the Harlem Wizards to Moniteau County for a fun-filled evening that raised funds to support childcare efforts in our community. Our hometown team had a blast taking on the Wizards, and the crowd enjoyed an evening full of laughter, entertainment, and unforgettable memories!

A special thank you to California Middle School and Tipton Elementary for their support and for welcoming the Harlem Wizards to visit students before the evening game. The excitement and energy the Wizards brought to the schools made the day even more memorable for local youth.

This event would not have been possible without the incredible support of our sponsors, volunteers, home team players, referees, concession stand workers who helped raise funds for the California Football Team, and the many community members who attended and cheered everyone on.

Thank you to everyone who helped organize, support, and participate in this event. Your generosity, time, and enthusiasm made this fundraiser a huge success and helped support childcare efforts for Moniteau County families.

We are grateful to have such a supportive community. Thank you all for helping make this event possible and for creating a night filled with fun, laughter, and community spirit. A great time was had by all! 🎉🏀❤️

Interested in making a difference for local child care programs? We are seeking caring individuals to serve as substitute teachers in child care centers throughout Moniteau County. Free training will now be held June 22–24.
