You’re invited!

Join us on Thursday, May 14 at 10:00 a.m. as we officially cut the ribbon on the new Fire Station 3 located at 2633 Cravens Avenue.

This new two-story station is the latest project completed through the City of Owensboro’s Operation Firehouse initiative - a $30 million investment into improving fire facilities across our community.

The modern facility features updated living quarters, administrative offices, state-of-the-art apparatus bays, and will also become the new home of a Safe Haven Baby Box.

Following the ceremony, firefighters will begin moving into their new home.

The community and media are welcome to attend as we celebrate this exciting milestone for the Owensboro Fire Department and the City of Owensboro!

It’s officially official! (Or mayyyyybe it has been for a while and I just flaked on getting this announcement together!)

Make plans to join us, but notice the time zone!! We are on Central Time here at The Fire Academy!!

Do NOT use Google Maps to try and find us. You’ll end up in Never Never Land. Take the Western KY Pkwy to exit 53. Turn left at the end of the ramp and proceed to the caution light directly in front of Wendell H Ford Training Center. Make a right at the caution light and pull into the SFRT District 3 parking lot. Hang a slight left at their building and follow the gravel road up over the hill - you’ll find us there. 😉
