We have a wonderful line up of vendors and demo tables lined up for the Chequamegon Bay Seed Fair tomorrow from 10am to 1pm at the Bretting Community Center in Ashland. Be sure to check it out!

The Cable Community Farm proudly co-hosts this event with the Ashland Beaser Community Gardens. 💚🌿

Don't forget--the Cable Community Farm will be hosting its Annual Meeting at the Telemark Hub on Thursday, March 26th, at 5:30pm.

We'll be joined by Sarah Boles to learn about the benefits of utilizing a broadfork over traditional tilling, and Backroads Coffee will be open with food and beverages available to purchase.

Spring is nearly here, which means it's time to reserve your garden plot at the Cable Community Farm! 🤗

Join members of our Infrastructure Committee for one of our in-person registrations throughout the month to sign up. You can also complete our interest form online at https://cablecommunityfarm.org/plot-registration/.
Additional sessions will be scheduled in April as needed. 🌻

We’re excited to share that the Cable Community Farm has been awarded a $1,000 grant from the Birchleggings Club of the American Birkebeiner to provide habitat for birds of prey!

At CCF, we prioritize sustainable gardening practices that limit the use of chemicals whenever possible. We’re lucky to regularly spot kestrels, hawks, and owls hunting in and around our fields, but until now, there haven’t been enough safe perches or nesting sites close to our gardens.

Thanks to this generous grant, we’ll be installing raptor perches and nesting sites along our fence line, supporting a natural and effective form of rodent control while strengthening our local ecosystem. It’s a win for our crops, our community, and the wildlife that share this land with us.

Congrats to Kathy Teasdale--CCF's former Board President and owner of Gardens in the Pines WI--for being the lucky winner of our 2025 Holiday Porch Pot Raffle! We know you'll give this pot a good home. 🥰

*Holiday Porch Pot Raffle:
Add some festive cheer to your home! We’re raffling off a beautiful holiday-themed porch pot—tickets are only $10 and only 50 will be sold. The winning ticket will be drawn on December 15 at The Cable Cafe. Every ticket helps the Farm grow!

*SeedMoney Campaign – Ends December 15
CCF is also participating in the annual SeedMoney Challenge, a global fundraising event supporting community food projects. Your donation helps fuel our work and gives us the chance to win a “Strong Finish” grant if we place among the top finishers on the final day.
