The Byron Snow Bears Snowmobile Club was established in 1973; celebrating a 50 year anniversary in 2023. The mission of the Club remains supporting the sport of snowmobiling by maintaining trails, promoting snowmobile activities/businesses, and supporting various community activities. *The Club currently has around 40 members/families, but welcome new members! The Club maintains over 40 miles of
snowmobile trail in total. The Douglas Snowmobile trail is 13 miles of DNR land leading from north Rochester to Pine Island. This trail connects with nearly 30 miles of grant-in-aid trails which link Pine Island, Oronoco, and Rochester to locations west and south; Byron and Stewartville. *We thank Landowners for their support of snowmobile trails through their land! In addition to maintaining snowmobile trails, the Byron Snow Bears began co-hosting the “Great Southern MN Swap Meet & Vintage Show” starting in 2022 with the Kasson Mantorville Snowdrifters. This event is located at the Dodge County Fairgrounds in Kasson MN the 1st weekend in October. Of note, this new event replaced the previous 25 year running Great Southern MN Grass Drags, Swap Meet & Vintage Show event hosted in Douglas MN. Club trips north, local rides, trail trimming events, ATV rides, and other opportunities exist when being a Club member. Visit Byron Snow Bears on Facebook or the website (www.byronsnowbears.com) to see events, learn of updates, and/or to join the Club.
