Hangar BC

Hangar BC A safe, fun, faith-based place for students to hang out, play, and connect with friends and mentors

Behind every great day at Hangar Youth Center is a team of incredible volunteers who generously give their time, talents, and hearts to our students.

Whether they're mentoring, serving meals, helping with projects, listening to stories, or simply showing up week after week, their presence makes a lasting difference. They create a place where students feel seen, valued, encouraged, and loved.

Our students don't just appreciate our volunteers—they genuinely look forward to seeing them. The relationships built within these walls are a beautiful reminder that community changes lives.

To each volunteer who has invested in the next generation: thank you. Your kindness, patience, laughter, and dedication help make Hangar more than a youth center—it makes it a family. We are endlessly grateful for the impact you have on our students and the example you set through your servant hearts.

❤️ Thank you for being the hands and feet that help our community thrive.

It’s our final week at Hangar, and with it comes a flood of memories from this past school year. Our hearts are so full reflecting on all the friendships, laughter, conversations, and moments shared within these walls. While it’s always bittersweet to see the doors close and the lights turn off for the season, we are incredibly grateful for every student who walked through them.

Our students have always been the heart of Hangar, and we hope each person who came through our doors felt welcomed, valued, and loved. As summer begins, we’re wishing everyone sunny days, new adventures, and countless reasons to smile. Thank you for sharing your light with us this year — Hangar would not be the same without you. ☀️

💕It warms our hearts to celebrate the arrival of sweet baby girl, Cambrie Kay Roussey! She is already so deeply loved. If you know Hangar, you know the Roussey family and the incredible role they play in our mission. From Paul and Ashlea serving on the board and volunteering, to Carolyn and Joanne faithfully giving their time as grandmothers, to Lily volunteering and Violet being part of the Hangar family—they truly embody what community looks like.

We are lifting up prayers for continued protection over mom and baby during this special time, and for all the beautiful new adventures ahead.
