Definitely worth reading... Mike Rowe spoke at the LIUNA Convention years back (2011 - Has it really been 15 years?!) and his message was much the same....

After highlighting America's dirtiest jobs, Mike Rowe began to show the military's. Now he's sounding the alarm for America's skilled trades.

LIUNA Local 1249 Business Manager & Secretary-Treasurer Mike Gratis & President David Gibbs served as Delegates, also representing Local 1060, at the 27th LIUNA Convention in Las Vegas, while Vice President Adam Joy also attended. It was a busy week, with 1,793 Delegates certified out of 1,810 total, for a 99% attendance - Plus at least that many guests and other attendees. Feeling truly Blessed to be a member of LIUNA, going on 33 years now - Here's just a very small snippet of pictures taken during the week... 😁

We lost a great member WAY too soon... 😞 Our heartfelt thoughts, prayers & Condolences to the family & friends of Cam Mosher... ☦️

Today, we bring our longtime friend Cam, home. ❤️

Cam has been a part of our company and our lives for many years. He has shared his time, hard work, kindness, and friendship with so many of us, and he will always be remembered as an important part of our work family.

We’ll be leaving the Sagamore Bridge at 5:00 PM and heading down the Cape.

If you’d like to show your support, please consider standing along any of the Rt 6 overpasses at any of the bridges along the route. We will be getting off at the Yarmouth exit and heading to Hallets funeral home . Your presence will mean so much to Cam’s family and to everyone who has had the privilege of knowing him.

Let’s come together to honor Cam, support his family, and show him how deeply he was loved and appreciated. ❤️

Rest easy, Cam. You’re coming home.

Once in a while we get contacted by someone looking to join LIUNA, looking for work. On the Public Employee side of things, you find work via the cities, towns or employees we represent, not through the Local. For those looking for Laborer work, you can go to this link and Find A Local, just be sure the Local lists its Jurisdiction as Construction and General, not Public Employees.... 😉
