With school just over the horizon, we want to highlight our three Scholarship Recipients!

Congratulations to Carter Fausnaugh, a senior from Lakota East High School!

Carter plans to major in pharmaceutical sciences with the hopes of becoming a pediatric surgeon.

He was a football captain and was active in his church, the National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta. Carter also coached girls youth basketball in his free time.

Congratulations to Lyla Roy, a senior from Hamilton High School!

Lyla plans to major in Health and Rehabilitative Services, followed by dental school. She ultimately wants to own her own practice in Hamilton.
She was active in her church as well as in National Honor Society.

Congratulations to Carissa Hunt, a senior from Middletown High School!

Carissa plans to pursue a degree in nursing. At Middletown, she was a cheerleader and active participant in Hope Squad.

We can’t wait to see what you accomplish this year in Columbus! Go Bucks! 🌰

Great turnout for our annual Summer Send-off Scholarship Picnic!

33 Buckeye faithful showed out to Armco Park in Lebanon to enjoy good food, good company, and celebrate our newest scholarship recipients.

We were able to raise nearly $200 for our scholarship fund. Congrats to Gina Johnson on the raffle win!

The OSU Alumni Club of Butler County invites you to our annual Summer Send-Off Scholarship Picnic on Sunday, July 26!

It’s a wonderful, casual day at the park to catch up with fellow alumni and meet our impressive Fall 2026 scholarship recipients.

The club will provide the main course—hamburgers, hot dogs, soft drinks, water, and beer. We just ask that you bring an appetizer, side dish, or dessert to share. We will also host a raffle, with all proceeds directly supporting next year’s scholarship fund for Butler County high school graduates!

Last weekend, Buckeye alums and faithful got together for a day of service partnered with Matthew 25 Ministries in Blue Ash!

Together, we worked to package goods that will be shipped to those in need across the world. No better feeling than doing the good work for those who need it!

Some news regarding May’s charity golf outing:

Unfortunately, due to low registration numbers, the golf committee has made a difficult decision to cancel the May 11, 2026, scholarship golf outing at the Elks Golf Course.

Our goal was to support the scholarship fund, and we were unsure we would be able to make the needed funds with this outing.

We would be remiss if we did not thank those members that reigstered to golf and those who were kind enough to sponsor portions of the event.

If you registered for golf, the Ohio State University Engagement Center will refund your registration fees in the near future.

The Board and the Golf Committee may look into an outing in the future or some type of related event.

To take a quote from Jordan Spieth- “The key to golf—and to life—is learning to recover.” We have learned from this endeavor and will go forth.
