JR's Pups-N-Stuff, Inc JRs Pups-N-Stuff is a non profit all-breed dog rescue. We are a foster based rescue. That ideal has gotten us to where we are today. We do not discriminate.

JRs Pups-N-Stuff began with one goal in mind - to save animals from life threatening situations. We've had quite a few happy endings and will continue to provide excellent homes to all future rescue animals. We do not rescue animals specifically because of their breed or age. We rescue animals that need us to save their lives. They may be at risk of euthanasia for many reasons. Primarily this is d

ue to space limitations or health issues. Our first animals arrived through the efforts of two volunteers who drove through the night to the Kentucky/Tennessee border. Holli and her nine 1 week old puppies, and Chiqua who was expecting her puppies any day, were carefully transported back and placed in foster homes, where they would be until their puppies reached eight weeks of age and their forever homes were found. Since our first adoption of Shelby, JRs Pups-N-Stuff has found forever homes for over 6000 dogs. None of this could have been done without the support and dedication of the volunteers and adopters. Our rescue was built by a network of volunteers. Through the growth, we have discovered the greatest joys life can offer. We found kind, wonderful and caring people that have joined us. Not only people who want to foster dogs, but who will transport them, build websites, do home visits, and manage paperwork. As the group grows, we are able to save the lives of more dogs every day. The face you make at your foster when you are told it's too hot for a walk.

If you are looking for a dog that is a mix of energy, loves a good walk, will go for a few miles or 1 mile, loves a good hike, and will probably judge you as you work, look no further than 6-year-old Lucinda.

She's a pro at leash walking, loves a car ride especially when she gets a pup cup, can be trusted to be free in the home, but ok with a crate, and will gladly be your morning alarm clock.

Lucinda prefers to be the Queen of her household, so no other dogs, she's got a prey drive, so no cats, but if you have a couch or dog bed she will be so happy!

This girl might be 6, but you would never know by how much she loves to go on walks and car rides! Keep an eye out for videos of her running!

Halibut (brown/white) and Haddock (tri) are settling into their foster homes. So far, I can tell you they are both very friendly. They met the resident large dog and adored her as well. They are almost 3 months and currently weigh around 8lbs. They will be middle size pups as adults (maybe 25-30). These cuties are ready to find their families; is it with you???

Miskwaadesi (under the bench in the shade) and Maang are enjoying this beautiful, lazy Saturday. They are 3 month old Rottie mixes. They currently weigh just under 20lbs. They have not met a person or another canine, that they have not liked.

Some days one just needs to chill out and enjoy the beautiful day. Nigig and Waabizii are great at that. (Nigig in front) They love the outdoors and sunshine. The only thing that would make it better would be a good bully stick. Sorry, foster mom is out at the moment. These two are Rottie mixes and just over 3 months old. They love both humans and canines of all ages and sizes.

Meet Hayward (male, black/tan) and Faunus (female, fawn)!

These two cuties are spending the week in my home while their foster is on vacation, and they’ve been nothing but respectful little houseguests. If you’re thinking about adding a puppy to your family, here’s exactly what you can expect from either of them:

After 1,148 days in rescue Putter is officially home! Congrats to the Harris family for taking in and adopting the sweetest, snuggliest, and goofiest dog that JR’s had to offer! Putter was adopted as a puppy and surrendered when she was 6 years old when her family was expecting a baby human. When Putter arrived back at the rescue with some dog reactivity this made it hard to place her in a foster home but her love of humans never wavered. Fast forward to March 2026 the Harris family was able to break Putter out of the shelter and provide her with everything any dog could dream of! She now has her own family of 4, a beautiful home with a fenced in backyard, and all of the love and affection that this wonderful girl deserves.

If you’ve ever considered fostering, please give it a try! It truly makes a difference! Not only does it help the animal in the shelter get into a loving home where they can blossom, learn manners, etc. but it provides that space at the shelter to open up to an animal in need at risk of euthanasia, escape a poor situation, etc.
