Another successful outing by the Garden Club. .
The anchor garden was completely weeded and the vinca planted and watered . . Many thanx to the members that attended and made it happen!!

We will be doing annual flower planting at the anchor this coming Saturday morning June 13th starting around 9:30 am.
Anyone available to help plant and probably do some weeding would be greatly helpful as many hands make light work!

One our usual annual projects in addition to the hanging baskets and planters are vinca planted down at the anchor garden etc. this year we were lucky enough to have Michael Taylor donate these gorgeous vinca. . The planting of such will be announced to members to join together and get these beauties in the ground. . . 👩‍🌾🌺🥳🪏👨🏾‍🌾

We proudly had the lovely opportunity in providing lunch with a celebratory cake for the DPW today for national public works week! 🚜

Thank you 🙏🏼 to garden club member🌺 and council woman Mary Wirth for arranging it and being there.
On behalf of the Garden Club, We graciously Thank them for their help and support through the years creating a Garden Club and DPW alliance in action!

Let’s give DPW some positive public support!💥✌🏼👍🏼 So, the next time you see someone in neon clothing working hard to keep the city clean, attractive and functional offer them your thanx. .

Many thanx to Jeff Gorleski and Joe Mekler for not only removing old soil and replacing it with new fresh but emptying and replacing an entire planter that was ruined due to an irresponsible lit cigarette butt that was stuffed into this planter and ended up causing a fire that destroyed it and rendered it no longer functional. .
People. . . these are not trash receptacles nor are they ashtrays. . They are planters designed to beautify the community. . If perhaps this behavior continues, this entire opportunity could be in jeopardy of its continuance. .
We are not by any means a political entity however with the current state of affairs down town, we are doing our best to beautify it amongst the obvious negatives. . . HELP US TO HELP BURLINGTON. . If you see trash?? Pick it up and deposit it into the nearest receptacle. . If you perhaps see refuse in the planters?? Take it out and deposit it appropriately. . . It takes the responsible village to compensate for the clueless and irresponsible. . . That’s all . . . Please continue to enjoy the anchor garden the hanging baskets and the planters that bring life and positive joy. . .
As they say today IYKYK. . For those not privet to it “If ya know,Ya Know”. . .
