On October 7, hundreds of guests came together for Spectrum’s Empty Bowl Dinner, presented by Vermont Federal Credit Union, raising a record-breaking $136,000+ to support local youth!

Guests chose handmade ceramic bowls to take home and enjoy delicious soups donated by local restaurants. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, volunteers, potters, restaurants, and community members, the evening was a huge success.

Sam, Lisa, and Daris spent some time at Essex High School’s Health Fair last week, chatting with students, sharing information about Spectrum, and helping young people learn more about the resources and support available to them.

We're hiring in St. Albans! We're looking for a full-time Youth Shelter Coordinator to join our team and help create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for young people experiencing homelessness.

In this role, you'll lead a dedicated team of Youth Coaches, oversee daily shelter operations, and help young people access the resources and support they need to move forward.

- Full-time position in St. Albans, VT
- Starting at $29.33/hour, plus applicable shift differentials
- Meaningful work with a team that cares

Spectrum's Executive Director, Mark Redmond, recently launched One Good Memory, a podcast sharing true stories of hope, struggle, survival, and the moments that stay with us.

In the episode 'The Graduate', Mark shares the story of a young man who first came to Spectrum at 18. With support along the way, he found stable housing, a full-time job, and a path toward college. But taking that next step without a safety net comes with challenges of its own. It's a powerful reminder of why the support we provide young people matters, and what's possible when someone has a community in their corner.

We're so excited about this new partnership with Monarch Maples Pediatrics and what it means for the young people we serve in St. Albans! Access to healthcare shouldn't be another hurdle for youth who are already navigating so much, and we're grateful to have a team helping us make that care easier to access.
