Pack 381 is proud to have paved the way in inclusive and accepting Scouting. The Scouts of Pack 381 have been up to a lot of GOOD this month. First, they assisted in setting up at the book fair at Longfellow Elementary School. Then the Pack participated in “Scouting for Food” with Five Creeks District, collecting close to 700 pounds of food to benefit local food pantries, including the “Little Free Pantry” at Indian Trails Public Library District. Finally, this past weekend, scouts went on a nature hike and cleaned up 16 bags of litter from Deer Grove Forest Preserve in the Forest Preserve District of Cook County. Well done, Scouts!!

Pack 381 recently hosted the annual Pinewood Derby and our Cub Scouts had a blast! Pinewood Derby is over for the year, but we have many upcoming adventures; including camping, service projects, and (another Cub favorite) our bottle rocket picnic. It's been a busy month for Cub Scout Pack 381. Our Bear Den (3rd graders) recently visited the Buffalo Grove Police Department. Our Tigers (1st graders) spent an evening with Arlington Heights Fire Department. And the whole Pack showed their creative side building their racers for our annual Pinewood Derby!

Now we are gearing up for our biggest service project of the year, Scouting for Food.
