On Sunday, our VT Seva Chicago volunteers spent the afternoon with the residents at Sunrise Senior Living Center. We played bingo, gave out snacks as prizes, shared some treats, and finished the day with a fun game of balloon volleyball.
A big thank-you to all of our volunteers: Veda, Sudheeshana, Sahiti, Ani, Vivek, and Rohith! It was great getting to spend time with the residents and make their day a little more fun. We all had a great time, and we’re glad we got the chance to help out!

𝐕𝐓 𝐒𝐞𝐯𝐚, in collaboration with 𝐉𝐞𝐭𝐔𝐒𝐀, has launched PRADA:N, a nationwide service initiative with a collective goal of contributing 70,000 pounds of food by November, in honor of the birthday of HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji.

On Sunday, Aug 9th, our volunteers came together to craft a batch of Forget-Me-Not flowers, a heartfelt project supporting Disabled American Veterans (DAV).

This is just the first batch! We'll be scheduling a couple more crafting sessions to finish the remaining flowers before sending them off.

Last Saturday, Aug 8th, our volunteers joined for VT seva activity at Northern Illinois Food Bank for sorting and packing potatoes (large, medium, small, and tiny!) for families in need.

Together, each participant packed an average of *125 lbs* of potatoes, all headed to the community through the food bank's donation network.

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers: Tanmai, Kai, Venya, Ash*ta & Apurva!! As always, your time and effort made a real difference , thank you for showing up and giving back!

𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐃𝐚𝐲!

Some friendships are built over coffee.
Some are built in classrooms.
And some are built through 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞. 💙

Here in the USA, our youth build lifelong friendships while serving side by side through community service projects, learning that the best connections are made by making a difference together.

On this International Friendship Day, we celebrate the incredible bond between our youth volunteers and the students of Nethra Vidyalaya and the tribal schools.

Though oceans separate them, their hearts remain connected through summer internships, Weekly online English lessons, occasional visits to schools, shared smiles, and the unwavering commitment to support each other's dreams through education.

Friendship isn't about being together every day.
It's about making sure someone knows they're never alone.
