🇺🇸 Coffee, donuts, and good company — that’s a pretty great way to spend a Thursday morning! ☕🍩

VSO Kale Murray and Assistant VSO Diana Mills spent part of the morning at American Legion Earl Graham Post 159, enjoying some coffee, mingling, catching up with familiar faces, and getting to know a few more members of our local veteran community.

Of course, we had to grab a quick picture with Post 159’s new Commander, James Pfeffer! 📸

Every Thursday from 8–10 AM, Post 159 opens its doors for an informal morning of fellowship, coffee, donuts, and conversation. The coffee and donuts are provided and served by the wonderful members of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 159. ❤️

And you do NOT have to be a member to stop by! Veterans are welcome to come hang out, meet some folks, swap a few stories, or simply enjoy a cup of coffee.

This week, Unit 159 proudly installed our officers for the coming year. Thank you to each member who has accepted the responsibility of leadership and service. We look forward to another year of supporting veterans, active-duty service members, military families, and our community in the spirit of Service, Not Self.

We’d also like to extend special congratulations to Marjean Snelling Neve on receiving several well-deserved honors recognizing her exceptional dedication to the American Legion Auxiliary.

Marjean was recognized with:
⭐ A 100% Membership Award for her outstanding work as our Membership Chairman.
⭐ A certificate recognizing her completion of the American Legion Auxiliary Leadership Academy.
⭐ A Department of Texas Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation Certificate of Participation.
⭐ Additional recognition for her continued service and commitment to the Auxiliary.

Beyond her work in membership, Marjean also serves on our Executive Committee and generously shares her time through the Quilts of Valor Foundation, helping honor veterans with quilts that symbolize comfort, healing, and appreciation.

Thank you, Marjean, for your servant leadership and for the many ways you strengthen Unit 159 and support those who have served.

Here’s to a new Auxiliary year filled with service, fellowship, and making a difference—together. ❤️🤍💙

Did you know that Thursday mornings at Brazos Legion- American Legion Post 159, Bryan, Texas are actually not just worked but also sponsored by the Auxiliary Unit 159?

We raise funds to support our veterans; some of which we use to purchase coffee, donuts, kolaches, and the kitchen supplies needed to make Thursday mornings such a success!

📚🇺🇸 Help Us Support Military Kids! 🇺🇸📚

How much can less than $30 buy? Quite a bit, as our Unit Secretary, Diana Mills, discovered during a quick H-E-B shopping trip! Just look at the supplies in the photo!

These donations will be taken to the 2026 American Legion Auxiliary Department Convention in Austin this July, where Auxiliary Juniors from across Texas will assemble school supply kits and snack packs for military children through Operation Homefront’s Kids Helping Kids project.

Auxiliary Juniors are young members who learn leadership, patriotism, and service through projects just like this. Unit 159 would love to start a Junior group of our own if there’s enough interest!

Donations will be accepted through July 2. Every item helps make a difference for a military child heading back to school. ❤️🤍💙
