$5 Friday : Rescues and shelters are in dire need. We are facing overflowing intakes and lower than normal donations. Vet bills are through the roof and we are all struggling to make it work. We are tired. We are frustrated. And we are overwhelmed. Then comes a dog like Lilly, whose nine months of life has been a fight to survive that ended her dumped on a county road. Lilly came to us in the back of a pickup truck. Her skin is covered in mange and infection. Her eyes are filled with pus. Her ears are infected. She is limping due to an injury on her back leg. And she is thin….oh so thin. And even with all of this, Lilly has no ill will. She is overjoyed for love and attention. Her tail wags and she jumps all over you - having not known what real love is. And we once again put everything aside and focus on making her little life better. Because she deserves that.

Our vet bills are insane. Our kennels are full. But we continue to fight every day for dogs like Lilly. Please help us to continue our mission. Dogs like her need second chances.

DONATIONS NEEDED : It’s Friday and we desperately need everyone’s help! We have been given the opportunity for transports to three of no our rescue partners next week. 15 dogs and puppies to Massachusetts on Monday. 6 dogs and puppies to Pennsylvania on Monday. 6 dogs and 5 cats to Georgia on Thursday. This is a total of 32 pets that can move from our rescue to no kill rescue partners where they will quickly find forever homes. What’s big amazing is this group includes seniors, a tripod, and bullies! So many who need to find homes that haven’t been able too here ❤️

Now the big issue! We need $100 sponsors for 32 pets to leave - for a total of $3200. This helps cover the cost of vans, fuel, needed vetting, and health certificates - all drivers for the transports are volunteers. Plus, we desperately need to get our vet bills down so that when these pets leave, we can help more in need. In simple terms, WE NEED FUNDS! Absolutely nothing can happen without the funding to do the transports or intake the new pets. So today, we need you more than ever. Homeless, abused and abandoned pets need you more than ever. Please share and help if you can. We work very hard to help as many pets as we can - but it is in vain when our kennels sit empty……

Transport Sponsor Update : We have 21 of the 32 dogs covered! That means we only have 11 dogs left needing sponsors! Cheerio is one of the sweet babies who will be leaving for rescue. This precious girl is a tripod who was at a local shelter heavily pregnant. Her puppies have since found homes - but Cheerio was still waiting….until now ❤️ She will leave Thursday for a better forever with our rescue partner where she will be adopted much faster than in Alabama. Our rescue partners are in/right outside large cities where there are so many more people looking to adopt than rural Alabama. They are in places where there is access to spay/neuter clinics and where you must register your pets. Places where there isn’t free puppies being given away at Walmart every Saturday. Our precious Bama babies are loved and wanted - and they find homes so fast compared to here. Please share and help us get these dogs and puppies on the road to their better forevers.

Transport Sponsor Update : Thanks to the match yesterday, we have 15 of the 32 dogs covered! That means we only have 17 dogs left needing sponsors! Bacon here is one of the puppies leaving. He and his brother were found in the middle of the highway. Unfortunately, his brother passed before we were able to get them. Bacon has been with us for three weeks with no apps. As a black mixed breed puppy, he is one of hundreds needing homes. But he will leave Thursday for a better forever with our rescue partner where he will be adopted in less than half that time. Please share and help us get these dogs and puppies on the road ❤️
