School is back in session! 🍎📚

As students return to the classroom, remember to slow down, stay alert and obey posted school zone speed limits. A few extra seconds behind the wheel can help keep our students safe.

🚸 Slow Down. Stay Alert. Drive Safe.

We got in some live pump panel training this afternoon. Great to see everyone sharing their knowledge and working together. Teamwork makes things flow smooth. Chief may have been sprayed (accidentally) on purpose.

BIG THANK YOU to Wiregrass RC&D!

Backpack blowers will be used for fighting wildland fires and clearing road debris on the scene of motor vehicle crashes.

Chainsaws will be used for clearing fallen trees and open blocked roadways.

Digital radios will allow for better two-way communication on two of our wildland/brush units.

Together, all these tools will give our firefighters the power to act quickly, safely, and effectively in emergency situations.

We are grateful to our legislators for supporting this grant, which ensures our department has the equipment it needs to keep our community safe.
