Huntsville Soaring Club The Huntsville Soaring Club promotes the sport of soaring locally and nationally.

Early Spring, 2022, the club encountered a significant (and expensive!) maintenance issue with the club tow plane. This has caused the club to halt flying operations pending the repairs to the tow plane. A Go-Fund-Me page has been set up to collect any donations parties wish to contribute. Our projections are to return to flying status in early 2023, assuming repairs and funding proceeds as planned.

Flying/Training Scholarships Available! The HSC is announcing the availability of scholarships for people interested in learning to soar and/or add to their current glider ratings. The announcement letter provides all the details. Contact us right away if you are interested, as the soaring season is about to kick-off!

Please ensure you are using the 3/16/2025 version of this announcement letter - it addresses parental/guardian concurrence with the applicant's request for the scholarship.
