Tkiya creates participatory music experiences that meet participants where they are - physically, psychologically, and spiritually - to find their unique connection to Jewish culture and community. Our programs are distinctively tailored to fit the needs of various communities and learning styles, and are accessible across a wide spectrum of Jewishness. Readily acknowledging the new age of physica
l distancing, Tkiya is among the first organizations to pivot our model virtually to continue providing meaningful connections when they are so deeply needed. Tkiya’s joyful, community centered programs are grounded in music education best practices and developed by recognized experts in the field of family engagement. We pride ourselves on our growing foundation of deep partnerships with over 60 organizations, including PJ Library, JCCs, and synagogues. We bring opportunities to connect as a family and as a community that make Judaism feel new, exciting, and welcoming to all. Our use of music, movement, stories, puppets, and virtual interaction has an immediate impact on every family that participates. We are able to create comfort and connection within specific, local communities as well as for families who are separated by distance. Tkiya’s programs include Jewish community music experiences, Shabbat experiences, classroom music for preschools and Hebrew schools, enrichment classes, musical theatre experiences, communal singing, senior citizen programs, special needs music, birthday parties, Parent & Me, private lessons, holiday programming, and so much more. We've pivoted our already successful approach to family and senior engagement and adapted it to fit a variety of internet-based platforms to meet the needs of as many individuals as possible.
