Thank you Stop & Shop, Foodbank NYC, and the volunteers who came to help us at the Feeding Families event last Saturday. The 2 bins of food donations we received from the supermarket patrons were given out to the community with much success.

Spread the Word: NYC Civic Corps Applications are Now Open

Applications for NYC Civic Corps 2025–2026 Are Open!
NYC Service is recruiting for the next cohort of NYC Civic Corps members. From October 2025 to July 2026, members will serve full-time at City agencies and nonprofits to address NYC’s most pressing issues—like youth education, food access, environment, and more!

Members receive:
A $24,500 living stipend
Healthcare coverage
Unlimited MetroCard
150+ hours of professional development
A $5,176 education award upon completion

The application is on a rolling basis and closes September 28. Learn more and apply at nyc.gov/servenyc.

With costs increasing each year, we are asking if everyone can help us by donating bags so that we can continue to pack dry food products for distribution to the community. We are looking to receive at least 1,000 bags. With much appreciation, we thank you.

As we are receiving an influx of immigrants from Floyd Bennett Field. We are in dire need of additional volunteers to be available on Wednesday's and Thursday's from 3pm - 6pm. Spanish speaking desired. Duties are lifting 25lb bags, sorting food, clean-up, distributing food, registering clients.
