Saturday, July 25th is the culmination of the weekend—a day spent among artists and makers, followed by an evening dedicated to supporting the next generation of western women artists.

From morning through the afternoon, the Barn Gallery and surrounding grounds are open to the public, offering time to explore original artwork, handcrafted gear, and the stories behind the work.

As evening approaches, the gathering shifts into a more intimate setting. Guests are welcomed back for dinner, followed by the Sallie Knowles Joseph Scholarship Auction led by Grayson Haydn-Myer.

The auction features original artwork and handcrafted pieces donated by Rodear artists, makers, and supporters. Throughout the evening, scholarship recipients will share stories of the work they are pursuing, the mentors they have studied with, and the opportunities made possible through the Sallie Knowles Joseph Scholarship.

We close the weekend with music from Montana singer-songwriter Sterling Drake. His songs draw from ranch life, wide-open country, and the people who call it home—an evening of music, dancing, and celebration beneath the Eastern Sierra sky.

Whether you’re joining us for the full weekend or just Saturday, we would love to have you with us.

Friday night at The Rodear begins with the first look at what this year’s artists and makers, from across the West, have brought to share as the Barn Gallery and Trade Show open for the evening.

Before dinner, guests are invited to wander through the displays, meet the women behind the work, and spend time with the craftsmanship, stories, and traditions carried forward through their art and handcrafted pieces.

As the evening settles in, everyone gathers for dinner and an intimate night of music and poetry.

We’re especially excited to welcome Jessie Veeder and Jade Brodie to The Rodear for the first time, alongside returning poet Annie Mackenzie.

There’s something special about Friday evening at The Rodear — the barn and grounds filled with conversation, artists sharing their work, and everyone beginning the weekend together.

Join us Friday, July 24th! Tickets are on sale on our website: https://therodear.org/tickets2026

Thursday night opens with the first look at artwork in the Barn Gallery, followed by a dinner collaboration between our chef and winemaker, music, poetry, scholarship stories, and the beginning of the weekend together. Thursday evening is limited to 50 guests.

There’s something special about the way a weekend begins when people gather with intention.

On Thursday evening, July 23, we’ll open the 2026 Rodear with a more intimate gathering at Bridgeport Ranch — a chance to settle in, reconnect, and begin the weekend together.

The evening includes a private gallery opening, chef-prepared dinner by Adele Nash, wine from Haley Wight of Hayfork Wine Co., music from Trinity Seely and Wylie Gustafson, poetry from Amy Hale, and stories shared by our Sallie Knowles Joseph Scholarship recipients.

It’s a warm and welcoming way to begin the gathering, and one of the moments we’re especially looking forward to this year.

Thursday evening is limited to 50 guests.

We love seeing what’s possible when an artist chooses their own path - and finds the right mentor to walk it with them.
Kylie Sofich is a Sallie Knowles Joseph Scholarship recipient who trained in silver engraving at GRS in Kansas, building skill and confidence at the bench.
Scholarship applications close soon. We look forward to welcoming the next group of makers into this growing circle of learning and fellowship.
