The Pride of Breckenridge BHS Band had two students at SFA band camp last week! Mags Wunsch performed with the HS Concert Band and Matthew Wunsch performed with the Symphonic Band! Both bands had amazing performances!

The Pride of Breckenridge Band Boosters were thrilled to be able to offer partial scholarships for 11 students to continue to grow in their music at a summer band camp of their choice.

Matthew Wunsch, from our amazing trumpet section, is attending Stephen F Austin University’s Band Camp! We are so proud of him and can’t wait to see what he brings back to our Buckaroo Band!

The Pride of Breckenridge Band Boosters were thrilled to be able to offer partial scholarships for 11 students to continue to grow in their music at a summer band camp of their choice. We also continued to be able to fully cover summer band camp costs for our Drum Majors!

Jett Barrow, from our amazing saxophone section, Trip Barrow, from our amazing trombone section, and one of our Drum Majors, Dirk Miller, joined Felix Brazile from our Drumline to attend Howard Payne University’s Band Camp! We are so proud of them and can’t wait to see what they brings back to our Buckaroo Band!

The Pride of Breckenridge BHS Band sent 36 students to compete at the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Competition on Monday! We are so proud of these students, even though we were so spread out in the new competition location that we didn’t snap many pics!
They worked hard then played hard at Schlitterbahn water park!
They represented Breckenridge High School well! 💚

We had 6 Ensembles compete!
🥁The Percussion Ensemble performed “Viennese Musical Clock” and received a Division 2 Rating
🎷The Saxophone Quartet performed “The Entertainer” and received a Division 2 Rating
🪈The Flute Choir performed “Alleluia
from Exultate Jubilate, K 165” and received a Division 3 Rating
🎺 The Brass Quintet performed “Alexander’s Ragtime Band” and received a Division 2 Rating
🪊The Brass Quintet performed “Military Suite” and received a Division 3 Rating
🎶 The Brass Quintet performed “Largo and Finale (from New World)” and received a Division 2 Rating

The Pride of Breckenridge BHS Band is proud to be sending 36 students to compete on Monday at the State competition! Good luck to all of our musicians as the compete!
