Stephens County After School 4-H kicked off today with Cooking Club 🧑‍🍳 🍀

Students made healthy desert/afternoon snacks while learning knife skills, my plate, healthy substitutions and creativity in the kitchen❕

If your child is 3-12th grade and wants to join the fun it is not too late.

Get enrolled into 4H & join us next week!

McKlane had a great weekend showing her lambs at the Heart of Texas livestock show!

She competed in the wether dam, scholarship, and premium shows over 3 days!

With her wether dams she placed in all 3 classes entered had a 2nd place, 6th place, and 7th place!

Way to go McKlane and what a way to close out the fall majors!

Stephens County 4-H celebrated national 4-H week with a couple of our favorite events!

Last Wednesday we held our annual awards ceremony and first Green Acres meeting of the year.

On Saturday we participated in the statewide community service event, One Day 4-H, where we gave back to our community by decorating the downtown square for fall.

Join us in celebrating National 4-H Week!

Some club wide events this week include:

🍀 Wednesday 10/7-Green Acres Meeting after school until 5pm at South Elementary. Everyone is invited for our first county wide club meeting of the year! We will recognize award recipients from 2025-2026 and install this year's County Council team.

🍀 Saturday 10/10 One Day 4-H! Join us at the Stephens County Courthouse at 9am for our One Day 4-H Community Service project.

Way to go Sylee!!!

🚨Scholarship Alert🚨

Congratulations to Stephens County 4-H’er Sylee Mitchell for placing 3rd in the Aim for Education opportunity at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo Junior Shooting Sports Competition and earning a $3,000 scholarship!

Sylee was one of only 11 competitors to advance to the presentation round after completing the qualifying test. We are so proud of her hard work, dedication, and continued success in shooting sports!
