🚨🚨 Announcement🚨🚨

The TLARC is excited to share that we are not just announcing ONE upcoming Boot Camp….but TWO upcoming BOOT CAMPS!!!

Thats right, we will be hosting a Tech and a General Boot Camp by the end of the year.

1) Our General Boot Camp will be on September 19th, 2026. This session will prepare the Technican License Class in order to take the General License to exam. This session will be $30.00 and include lunch and exam fees.

2) Our Technician Boot Camp will be on November 7th, 2026.

The Technician License is the entry point for new Amateur “Ham” radio operators.

Cost of the Tech Boot Camp session is $60.00 and includes the class, test fee, lunch, snacks and upon successful completion
of the test a fully programmed hand-held radio to get on the air with and a complimentary membership of
the Tri Lakes Amateur Radio Club.

Both sessions will be held at the Branson United Methodist Church, 1208 West 76 Country Blvd. in Branson
and will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. and be completed by approximately 5:00 p.m.

Ready to take your Amateur Radio License Test or Upgrade? We are hosting open testing for all Levels (Tech, General, or Extra) this Saturday Aug 15th right after our Elmer’s Class.

Testing will start around 12pm and be held at the Branson United Methodist Church.

Everyone is an Elmer, but you might feel like you don’t have what it takes to teach and mentor new Hams. Don’t worry, we have you covered.

TLARC will be hosting a “ELMERS” class next Saturday August 15th from 9am-12pm at the Branson United Methodist Church.

Reminder...TLARC Meeting this coming Saturday at the Golden Corral in Branson MO at 9am. Breakfast, on your own, at 8am.

TLARC members. Memorial services for Jim Parks will be Wednesday morning August the 12th at the United Methodist Church in Branson. Visitation will be at 10:30 and the service will begin at 11:00. After the service, a final call will be given on the repeater system.

TLARC members,

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the passing of James Parks (NY0J). Jim passed away last night at Cox south hospital.

When arrangements have been made, I will be sending that information out.

Please keep Jane Parks along with his son and family in your prayers. He will be Missed.
