This Military Appreciation Month, we recognize the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of our service members and their families. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to protecting our freedoms. 🇺🇸
In 2025, National Military Appreciation Month will be observed throughout the entire month of May. This month-long celebration is a time to honor and thank the men and women who have served in the U.S. military. It was established by a resolution in 1999 and includes observances like Military Spouse Appreciation Day, Armed Forces Day, and Memorial Day.

Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA), Chapter 787 is Hillsborough County's sole Chapter of the VVA dedicated exclusively to Veterans of the Vietnam Era War period (1955-1975). One does not have to have served "in Country to be a member. The Chapter was formed in 1985 and has its Chapter home at Veterans Memorial Park in Tampa (3602 N US Hwy 301).

The Chapter is in need of a Chapter Treasurer. The responsibilities are the reporting of banking transactions at the meetings, making of deposits & reimbursement of funds or payment of transactions, submission of reports to both State & National organization several times per year & the monitoring & setting up of bank accounts as needed. This is a volunteer related function, but will require the person to join the VVA ($50 Lifetime Membership). It does not require a lot of experience; just a desire to do a good and effective job.
