99th Arkansas FFA State Convention & Expo

Last week, County Line was represented by 27 members at the State Convention & Expo in Hot Springs. Members attended all 6 sessions, toured the College & Career Expo, and attended the Matt Stell concert. Several members were recognized on stage for the accomplishments of themselves, their team, or the chapter. Award recognition included:

Joe Burton (2x State High Point Individual), Cash Lowrey (3rd overall Indv.), Elizabeth Rader (4th overall Indv.), and Tavilynn Fortenberry (Top 15 Indv.).

On Thursday, we were honored to host a visit from the National FFA Secretary Lilly Nyland. Members were able to hold a Q&A allowing Lilly to share her knowledge and experiences from her time in FFA. A second class was able to discuss some of their SAEs and local agricultural experiences with Lilly. Other members had the opportunity to visit with Lilly over lunch while enjoying the finals of our co****le tournament. Later in the afternoon Lilly accompanied our officers in reading an agricultural-related book to the Kindergarten and 1st grade classes. Before departing she took part in some CDE practices with our members after school. Thank you for visiting Lilly! We enjoyed sharing what agriculture and FFA looks like at County Line.
