An exciting day at our meeting this afternoon. We welcomed Nicole Smolkovich from the Community Foundation and presented a check for the tornado disaster relief fund, and we received a proclamation from State Representative Jackie Haas for a Club’s immediate response to the tornado. Our speaker was Dr. Alec Fisher, MD from Riverside Healthcare, talking about reconstructive plastic surgery.

Honored to have as our speaker today Lee Ann Hollenbeck from the Kankakee Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. As this is our nation’s 250th birthday, very fitting that we have the DAR as our guest.

Our speaker today is David Carter, President, Aqua Illinois. Aqua provides water and wastewater services to communities in Kankakee County, and to more than 280,000 people in 70 communities across 14 counties.
