Keep Manatee Beautiful

🌧️ Where does your litter go when it rains?

It doesn’t just disappear. Rainwater can carry cigarette butts and other litter from our streets into storm drains, canals, rivers, and eventually our waterways. 🌊

A cleaner Manatee starts with the little things. Dispose of cigarette butts and trash properly, and help keep litter out of our water. 🚯💧

Small actions make a BIG difference. 💚

Our volunteers are THE BEST! 💚🌊

This morning, volunteers from across Manatee County came together for the 2026 International Coastal Cleanup at Coquina Beach, Manatee Beach, and Ellenton!

We couldn’t have done it without the incredible support, hard work, and love our volunteers have for our community and our coast. Every piece of litter removed makes a difference, and we are so proud of what we accomplished together!

A HUGE thank you to the amazing crew at Coquina Beach Cafe for hosting an incredible after-party for our volunteers and helping us celebrate a job well done! Beach nourishment has started so be sure to check out the progress with a cold one and support our friends at the Coquina Beach Cafe. 🌴🍹

And a special shoutout to the many students with SWAT (Students Working Against To***co) who joined us and took on the not-so-glamorous task of sorting through cigarette litter collected from our beaches today. 🚭 Our beach is not your ashtray—please dispose of cigarette litter properly and help keep our sand and waterways clean.

Today was truly a community effort, and we couldn’t be more thankful for everyone who showed up, supported the cleanup, and helped Keep Manatee Beautiful! 💚
