🚴🏿‍♂️I would like to thank everyone who supported my fundraiser for the month of September, the “Great Cycle Challenge” to raise money for the Children’s Cancer Research Fund. Your generosity and spiritual support were greatly appreciated. You can still donate if you wish through the month of October.

Clay Smalley is riding in the Great Cycle Challenge. Please sponsor Clay now to end childhood cancer and save little lives. View Clay's fundraising page!

Attention Facebook family, Warren County, Bowling Green KY Community, Washington County High School & WKU Alumni, Divine Nine Family and my ♦️Brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc; it’s that time of year again. I’m celebrating my 70th birthday by riding in my 7th year in the Great Cycle Challenge.

🚴🏿‍♂️ This month, I'm riding 500 miles in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! My picture was on this huge billboard in Times Square for Tribute Day, a day to create awareness of childhood cancer and honor the brave and courageous kids fighting this terrible disease.
🚴🏿‍♂️ Because more than 15,000 children are diagnosed with cancer every year in the United States, and 38 kids die every week. It's heart-breaking.
Please support my challenge now to end childhood cancer and save little lives. To make a donation, view my fundraising

The Brothers of BGA are saddened by the transition of our mentor, friend, and true Kappa man, Bro. Howard Bailey (HB) to Chapter Invisible. He was truly a one of a kind person, an educator, a community leader, a man who loved Kappa and was not afraid to fight for what’s right. Please keep his family and friends in your prayers.

Arrangements are pending at this time.

Happy Birthday Founder Henry T. Asher!

Henry Tourner Asher, an unassuming, dependable supporter of Negro youth, equal rights, higher education, and religious affairs and son of a Baptist Minister, was born in Owensboro, Kentucky, on June 30, 1890, and was the eldest of seven children.

He moved to Bloomington, Indiana, attended public schools, and graduated from Bloomington High School in 1910. He enrolled at Indiana University in 1910 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1914.

He became an instructor at Lincoln Institute in Jefferson City, Missouri, 1914-1915. In 1915, he enrolled in a graduate program at the University of Wisconsin. Subsequently, he transferred to the University of Illinois, but ultimately earned his MA degree at the University of Minnesota in 1917. He received his LL.B. degree at the Detroit College of Law in 1928.

After serving more than a year overseas in France during World War I, he gave up a possible teaching career at Wilberforce University for one in real estate. He ended up in Detroit, where he decided to enter the postal service.

Twenty-year-old Asher, and Founders Edmonds and Blakemore were the first three freshman initiates of the Alpha of Kappa Alpha Nu. Although not a Detroit (MI) Alumni Chapter charter member, he was among the first to affiliate with the chapter in 1920.

Founder Asher was an active member of several organizations, including the NAACP, the Elks, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He spent the remainder of his life in Detroit, Michigan, where he died March 5, 1963.
