Butterflies of Cape Cod Butterflies of Cape Cod (BoCC) is an organization focused on encouraging people to create sustainable, pollinator-friendly backyards.

We hope to inspire individuals and other organizations to promote pollinators and local wildlife through the use of native plants and decreasing the activities that are harmful to local pollinator species (such as the use of herbicides and insecticides). At present, we have a small, but charming, outdoor backyard-inspired habitat featuring native butterflies and plants that we hope will get you cu

rious about what you can do with your own backyard. Our admission fee and gift store are contributing to our fund to turn our organization into a nonprofit which will allow us to expand our activities.

The Cape is “waking up”, with the unofficial start of summer - MDW - mere weeks away! Here are 10 local favorites that are opening up this month!

1️⃣ Wellfleet Drive-In Theater opening May 15
2️⃣ Bumper Boats at Cataumet Light Mini Golf will be available starting MDW (mini golf is already open!)
3️⃣ Cape Cod Canal Visitor Center opened May 1
4️⃣ Cape Cod Butterflies opening MDW
5️⃣ HyArts Artist Shanties opening May 15
6️⃣ Popponesset Marketplace opening May 22
7️⃣ Rockwell Amusements Spring Carnival at the Cape Cod Mall running April 30-May 10
8️⃣ Cape Cod Canal Cruises starting back up May 22
9️⃣ Nauset Lighthouse Tours starting back up May 10 on Sundays only
🔟 Chatham Bars Inn Grill opening May 14, Veranda May 19, and Terrace May 15
