Happy Juneteenth! On June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, over 250,000 enslaved Black people in Texas finally learned they were free. Today, we honor that delayed liberation and celebrate the resilience, joy, and power of Black communities.

Thanks to The Boston Globe for spreading the word about the newly-unveiled statue of our founder, Jack Connors, Jr., in Boston! We hope you'll stop by the statue and take a moment to remember and honor our hero 💙

A new statue of civic leader Jack Connors was unveiled in Back Bay on Tuesday.

You've heard us say over the years that Camp Harbor View is so much more than a camp. But what does it really mean to be a part of our year-round community? Members of our Parent Advisory Board—Meaka Brown, Olga Marin, and Latoya Sweeney—shared about their experience forming a sisterhood at CHV in this video that premiered at Beach Ball! We hope you enjoy 💖

There's a sound the island makes on the first morning of camp: hundreds of kids spilling off the ferry at once, like summer just got switched on. In just two weeks, a new batch of campers steps onto Long Island for the first time, and there's no better time of year to show your support and send them off right!

To celebrate, we've got a special opportunity: for every $10+ donation that lands before the first ferry leaves the dock on June 29, we’ll ship off a thank you gift from the team: your pick of the Original Duckhead x Ben Jundanian CHV Umbrella, the '47 ball cap, the CHV notebook, or a visit out to the island for you and a friend.*

Thank you so much to AJ Barkley and Bank of America for a fantastic visit!

AJ is Bank of America's Head of Global Community Opportunity, and she visited CHV's headquarters to learn more about the work we do with Boston's teens and families.

We can't wait to continue this partnership and are so grateful to Bank of America and AJ for the support!

A lasting tribute to our founder, Jack Connors, Jr., was unveiled at the base of 200 Clarendon Street in Boston. This special statue, which features Jack sitting on a bench, was created by artist Pablo Eduardo.

We were joined at the unveiling ceremony by champions of the project, including Governor Maura Healey, Mayor Michelle Wu, Joseph R. Nolan, Bryan Koop, and the Connors family.

"I hope when you visit the statue, you are reminded of the values and what he stood for: kindness, compassion, humility, looking to do for others, to care for others, and giving it your shot every day," said Governor Healey.

We hope you will visit the statue and take a moment to reflect on Jack’s unwavering belief in the power of community, conversation, and possibility.
